Ye Olde English Pub: The Dudley Social

How many PPs should i get to make 5000 pp players use their main?
I dont enjoy working my way up vs someone’s characters just because they have their head up their ass.
I can understand if they’re offline players but come on now.

I don’t think you can see BP and PP until the fight starts, so don’t think that’s the reason people aren’t using their “main”.

I dont know how ranked matches work but in endless you can just click on “Player Data” and it will show PP and win/lose ratio.

Thirtyfour - try turning on your mic and asking them to use thier main…

Think it only shows DC ratio in ranked, or that’s something else that takes long enough to check

My demons are back. Losing to jump back HK Ryus and other stuff I should know how to beat by now like jump back Psycho Crusher/Scissor Kick Bisons :[

I need to stop playing ranked looking for good people.

My PSN is X_the_Genius

Im in Buffalo, NY

Might make a new PSN for SSF4 since my FL is close to filled I think.

And if you have Castle Crashers, definitely add me!

this thread should be closed foe hosting too much dignity and class its not good for the internet

I’ll add you when I’m on PSN next. Feel free to add me. Cokkles.

I live in central NC. The lag may not be too bad though. We’ll see.

Man why are you Dudley players from the US! lol

What do you mean? You can never have too much dignity and class :bgrin: drinks pint

I’m raging >:[

Feels like I’m regressing now. I practice plinking combos in training and then as soon as I get into a match, I don’t do it. I also use cr. LP cr. LP cr. MP too much as a block string which is like a 3 frame gap, leading me to eating something dumb mashed out between. Losing a lot to random spaz shit vs people who don’t like to block. Getting killed by empty/whiffed normal jump throw, I know it’s coming but can’t remember to tech. Tell myself and advise others that blocking is the best option 9/10 times and then mash EX Jet Upper anyway.

I need to overhaul how I play. When I notice people don’t like to block and mash out reversals, I need to end block strings early so the reversal goes through.

Hey guys, I wish for Dudley’s new alt to include a top hat and a monocle! =D

Only complaint is he’s not in boxing gloves :[

Like i said…Proper tea etiquette.

So wtf made dudley so popular all the sudden? Ive never seen so many people lookin’ at the dudley board. 18 isnt a lot I suppose but Im use to seeing 3 or 4 people lookin’ here.

I usually see about 6-7. But honestly, the last time i even remotely saw 18 looking at the board was when he was first announced, and the weeks following…

…then the game came out.

I just read your sig and it made me laugh.

“…then the game came out” - Thats sad man, Dudley is mad fun to play. People read he’s getting some tweaks/buffs so they come running I bet. Chumps I say.

Dudley’s still gonna get blown up by low pokes regardless lol

I can deal with low pokes. It’s the ones where I get in for a second and get immediately slapped out by some ridiculous moves. Sagat, Bison etc. Huge range normals.

But either way. I got into this whole community like 3 months ago and ever since then. I had played Dudley in 3rd Strike. And when I picked up my copy of SSF4 the day of. I immediately played it and loved him. And I will continue to play him. But I do enjoy playing Abel from time to time.

I got blown up by a Cody. Wasn’t even close.
Almost beat a Bison I came across. Yay progress.
I got destroy by my friend today. He’s on the West Coast and plays Makoto. I usually go even with him but today I went like 5-20 something :[ I was trying to take my mind off one of my teachers from HS dying recently.

There’s like one key thing I’m missing from my game. I’m not sure what it is though. I think it’s just experience fighting other people, I’m usually in training mode a lot practicing links and combos and then never get online to play a few matches. I’m still not a fan of these scrubby play styles I come across and how hard it is to do a lot of stuff online in comparison to offline like tech and anti air.
