So should I always leave my delay at 5 frames? Or should I check every match to make it the same as my opponent? 5 frames of input delay seems like a lot, unless I’m missing something.
I only go lower than 5 if I have a connection of under 50 ping. I know 5 frames sounds like a lot but the matches themselves are smooth and consistent overall, and it doesn’t feel like my controls are unresponsive.
That fixed the game speed, although it was still fairly laggy at 100ms. Also my opponent disconnected, and it just froze the game in place. Apparently alt+f4 isn’t a command that Yatagarasu recognizes, had to ctrl-alt-del it and shut it down from task manager lol. Probably gave ME the disconnect for that, wouldn’t be shocked if people aren’t already abusing this even in an alpha version.
Anyone who wants to play just add me on Steam. Changing the delay seems to have worked.
Nicalis is continuing to drop the ball on actually getting it out, which is shocking because it’s just 4.3, which has been out for almost 2 years now. Also it’s only PS4/Xbone/Vita, which is very limited on stick support. And how does Nicalis go about trying to solve this?
They might as well just cut a deal with Nyu Media to get AoC out on those platforms instead of 4.3.
Also, the ones they should get in touch with for support for older sticks is Mike Z since he has someone working on a generic USB controller driver for the PS4 (for Skullgirls Encore) that he plans to license out for free once it’s done.
Another thing you might want to do is run the game in AppLocale (Japan). This solved a handful of glitches and issues with 4.3 and was necessary for the game to not suck.
It shouldn’t be necessary when the final version is out but until then you never know.
I let them know through Hit Box’s twitter, it’s just silly to talk to the stick manufacturers about console support. We don’t have any control over that shit. As for AoC, they’d have to make a deal with Hotapen about it, and I don’t think they would like that deal.
It is, but again, it’s 4.3 and AoC is right around the corner. By the time it comes out it’ll already be invalidated.
Is that necessary to make public lobbies work? I’ve never been able to join one, and a friend of mine couldn’t join one I made the other day and vice versa. What do I need to do to fix that?
I don’t want to be nit-picky or anything, but unless I’m mistaken; Hina’s follow ups after a (b)f+P/K are a DP; not necessarily a QCF. So even though forward is already being pressed in the input, the player can just leave the joystick in the DF position.
