Yatagarasu Donjon Game

reballance generally doesn’t mean “complete rework of the character”.

Kou still going to the generic shoto and whatnot.

From the Kickstarter:

Sounds like a pretty big re-working if you ask me.

The Parry system desperately needs to be revised before the game can be taken seriously.

The parry system is fine. Don’t fucking parry so much.

This game does not need to have all the piece of shit systems that are in 3s.

So you think you should be able to block and parry without any risk?

I don’t know what to say to that.

You still get the parry counter if the attack hits regardless if trying to block.

I agree with Alex. There needs to be risks to Parrying otherwise what’s the point?

There is a huge damage boost if you mess up parrying and it stacks with the crouching damage boost as well.

what is with people not appreciating game concept?
Have you guy even played the game or just writtin off as 3strike clone?

The parry system is fine as it is. their are stuff to punish abuse of parry not to mention the fact the game informs you if some one was parry.

I guess a small whiff animation to make it easier for some players to punish is in order

its 85k - 75k = 10k $. Probably they’ll make several animations to differentiate characters but no more.

You need to get good fundamentals, get rid of your ego, and keep to your word (leaving SRK) before you can be taken seriously, Lousicipher.

Oh yeah, I forgot to post this when I should have but:

Those of you whom are trying to get a test build of AoC even though you didn’t donate shouldn’t bother asking Nyu-Media. I’ve talked to them regarding this and they will not comply with the request as it will be unfair to those whom actually paid to get testing access to AoC during the indiegogo campaign.

I’m not saying it’s not possible but at the current moment, it’s just not.

Wait, there’s a test build for those who contributed to the crowd fund?

EDIT: Never mind, it looks like I didn’t contribute enough to get in the beta.

If you honestly think the gameplay is fine then ask yourself this: why does no one play this game? It doesn’t even have a scene in Japan.

Japan doesn’t like PC, fool. If it’s not in arcades it doesn’t matter. Additionally, the number of people playing a game being directly influenced by the quality of the game is retarded, seeing as Marvel 3 is one of the worst games this generation and also the most popular one. There could be a million different factors for a million different people for why they don’t play the game that has nothing to do with parries being different from 3S.

Better yet, if you don’t like a game, don’t post in a thread about it.

Maybe it should cost meter like it does in melty.

Let me make this abundantly clear (and I will post this in bold so there is zero excuse to not understand what I am saying) THE GAME DOESN’T NEED 3S PARRIES. I AM SAYING THE PARRY SYSTEM SUCKS AND NEEDS ADJUSTMENT. THIS DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN IT NEEDS TO BE LIKE 3S.

That said. The developers have shown no intent on changing the mechanics or making the original 8 characters not generic as fuck. Which means the game -when released- will be popular for about a month and then die.

You’ve made your opinion known and no one cares. You can fuck off now since it’s pretty clear you’re not going to contribute anything worthwhile here.

It was discussed by the game developers that they wanted parries to be easily accessible to newcomers. With the current conditions for parrying including a more lenient window and taking more damage when you mess up, I feel that the game developers were able to successfully do what they envisioned.

I can understand your opinion since I’m a 3S player as well, but at the end of the day this isn’t 3S. The game is inspired by 3S with all of the fundamentals carrying over while still being easily accessible to newcomers. I’m very excited for this game

And yes, I was also expecting them to fully rebalance the original cast but it looks like that won’t be the case as we haven’t seen or heard anything regarding that and the expected “summer release” is winding down.
