To be fair, I was quick to judge but it’s really hard not to. I didn’t know of some of the unique properties the game does have. I’m not writing it off as a failure, I’m just being a harsh (semi-harsh at that) critic. I’m very willing to learn the game more but it’s really easy to criticize something that’s similar to something you know oh so well. Especially when you can compare many of the moves and actions performed to be very similar to those from 3S.
Punishable late throw techs… Interesting… Seems like it defeats the purpose of throw teching and puts your attacker at advantage anyway though…
Also, cmon, c.hk for Dudley really is just Genei Jin lite
Yes… Yes I am. Perhaps, if this games succeeds it may breed something akin to, maybe even better than, 3S but until that point, it is what it is. Looks pretty good for a fighting game with a very low budget though considering the other crap (and sometimes decent) things that have spilled from XBLA and what not. But honestly, judging from the trailers it really does seem like a straight up reskin of 3S

when I choose “Join listed public lobby”, all appearing lobbies are grey and message “cant connect to lobby” appears

Only ranked matches work but they give me Japanese players with high ping usually.
Catch up to what? It’s not like this game ever had a super active community that built up a meta that needs catching up to. Once they get familiar with the engine they’ll be where everyone else is.
Just thought I’d let you know the creator of the game just tweeted out that he noticed people were hosting lobbies without opening the required port. This results in nobody being able to join your lobby, and probably why you can’t join other people’s lobbies.
Can you post a link to his Twitter? Does he speak English? I think the game is utterly generic but I’d love to know the games this guy has been involved with and ask questions.
So, does anyone play this? I bought it two weeks ago and I finally have time to play it, so I want to try it out properly.
I’m probably going to use Shimo or Hina btw, they seem pretty solid. Also they have swords. I’m really liking Jet as well, he seems like Dudley on steroids.
