If Seth Killian wasn’t working for Sony I would like for him to do commentary for this game.

He could still do a commentary. Just because you’re working with a company doesn’t mean you can’t do projects outside of that company at least in the world of video games. Though it depends on how the contract is worded.

EDIT: Also, kidding aside, in terms of Marvel, IMHO Dogface > Yipes.

Yipes is probably one of the best at giving you shit talking during a match. He knows a lot but doesn’t use half of it when actually commentating. Now if this game had James Chen doing random puns and saying the word frame trap whenever you actually hit one, so much money would be spent.

Yeah this is pretty much the idea. I thought about it for a bit myself wondering “What are these guys doing? Are they even the least bit familiar with the iconic 3S players of the US?” But these are the measures you have to take if you want to push your product. This is especially the case since transitioning into this new era of gaming. Selling out in the FGC (or anywhere for that matter) isn’t in an uncommon practice. It personally makes me feel “icky” on the inside but they’ve chosen the most intelligent marketing approach and I understand completely what they’re going for here.

JP wiki page with frame data and all of that good stuff. Characters are listed conveniently in Eng on the TOP LEFT of the page. Then click the moonrunes under a name and maybe you’ll get what you’re looking for. it’s pretty self-explanatory even if you cant read JP. Pictures and numbers are all you really need. If you’re looking for an in-depth understanding of the page try your luck with google translate or something.

before I forget edit:
training stage is significantly smaller than the other stages. Advise not to use it for actual training, esp. if your character has long corner carry combos (e.g. hina). Also, you can scroll stages up (on training mode only?) by selecting/clicking yatagarasu window and scrolling up with trackpad or mouse wheel. You can observe complete backgrounds if you care about that sort of thing.

I remember someone got banned in the 3rd strike section for posting a screen of Oro’s dick. You have to look hard to even see it

anyone know how to full screen this game? I’m able to fullscreen but get the game screen locked in window size (with fullscreen black boarders). Appreciate any suggestions. Running win7 on laptop btw thx.

are you not allowed to post a game where oro uses that move? CAPCOM put it in the game, and this is a CAPCOM website where the game has been at evo.

Trying to figure some shit out with Hanzo. And I’m just not “getting” her Utsusemi or that super jump cancel where she teleports to the ground. That, and her teleports. It looks like the only thing you could really do with the Utsusemi is cancel after her kick super and do her QCB+Kick but doing a SJ cancel and jA, D target combo or jD seem equally effective. Obviously target combo is your go-to for resets but the jD does about as much damage as her QCB+Kick.

The teleports I just don’t see a real use for them. She can be hit out of all them. I suppose you could be super gimmicky with them but why not just rely on crD, tD, and get in with A and B pressure? Seems safer and more sensible. I think the teleports would only work on someone who just doesn’t know the matchup.

Everything else she has makes sense and seems fair. She has her Dive Kick pressure, a wall jump to escape pressure and allow some mixups, good confirms into Kick Super, her EX QCB+Kick is really safe on block and good wakeup but it’s an easy Parry. Just Parry High or even Low the first hit and you’re free to punish her.

I really like her design (and not just the sprite which has a definite Angel from KOF02 vibe) in that they gave her really good pressure and some really safe moves. But she can’t crouch and she has the worst normals to whiff and build meter with.

some vids Iinked a while ago showing off j22a/c utsusemi teleport shenanigans. A version appears to drop straight down while C version descends at angle. Looks pretty strong after her ground throw as it cant be ground teched. Basically she can set up left/right nonsense. Dive kicks can be added in blender as well.

I could see someone spending the time on getting the Utsusemi down after the Kick Super lands but I think the execution to do that and just how good sj A and C target combo is will turn turn a lot of dudes away from using that. IMHO.

I noticed in the vids that they used the Teleport a handful of times which confirms my feelings that it’s a gimmick.

In other news the Indiegogo hit $30K. Not bad with 29 days to go. God I hope they hit the GGPO stretch goal.

speaking from first-hand experience, the post throw teleport setups are kind of intimidating. She has a few options to cycle through at her disposal (e.g. land in front/back, dive kick front/back). Anti wakeup jump and parry options exist as well.
