They have to make said animation fit the character.
They have to decide to make taunts like street fighter,jojo’s, or kof.Kof can cancel out of at anytime, jojo’s can cancel out at certain times like Khan picking up his sword.
Then they have to decide how long taunts last
Then decide to add taunt boosts.
Fix up the engine to allow said mechanic
What boost it should be for each character or make it universal.
Then decide when during the taunt it should activate.

I just wanted to clear up a couple of points or two that came up recently:
The short answer is ‘yes’. I can’t say that the difference between the last stretch goal and the amount actually raised will be applied directly to the adding the next new character, but it will go 100% to the dev to be applied to the game development and they do intend to create the new characters - it’s just a matter of time and resources.
To clarify another point, I believe I said that we probably wouldn’t accept the donations after the campaign ends, but on further consideration it would probably make most sense to continue to accept for a week or two after to take advantage of any press exposure we get when the campaign ends. Who knows - if we fall short of the next stretch goal tonight, maybe a week or two more of donations would make it possible!
Anyway, seeing as I’ve officially delurked, with the caveat that you guys already know more than me about the technical ins and outs of Yatagarasu’s gameplay, and that it may take a little while for me to respond (things are busy!), I’ll answer any questions that anyone has - let me know.
Just one last point: we’ve had practically ZERO coverage or support from major gaming media for the Yatagarasu AoC campaign, so this really is a win for the community. Heartfelt props will be given to the forum members, livestreamers, gamers, and other FGC members who have made this possible when the campaign closes.
Just caught this. Why the hell would anyone use the regular Jyuzumaru? Those feints are pretty free in a lagless environment, they look cool though. I guess you could justify the EX feint into HK followup for chip kill/yomi bs though.
So I played the current version for the first time and I was wondering if anyone knows if the game is balanced. It seems like some characters are way better than others in my opinion. I’m sure this won’t matter in the new version though, considering how they’re rebalancing all the characters.
Most likely Chik(Something) will be in the game due to the high amount of votes, but I hope everyone will support getting Qadl in the game as one of the other two characters as we don’t have a long range Dhalsim type character in the game yet.

Let the Shimo alone she was nerfed in every patch. She lost her [LP>236LPLP]xN loop, 214P land tk 214LP, [jHK>214P]x2 juggle and ect.
Also “dark Juzu” is just 4.2 Juzu. He was like that most time of the 4.2 ver.
In the earlier patches he had a bug with neutral frame after 623K so you could do some crazy shit.
