Just grind it out in training mode. Seriously.
At first I couldn’t even do it if I would try my fastest while abusing shortcuts.
Now I can do the full motion with ease and it feels like I’m actually inputting the ultra slowly.
But to be fair, compared to other characters this FADC ultra is VERY strict.
Yep. You can only combo off of an HP rekka.
Each rekka also has it’s own hit stun, so if you do an LP or MP rekka, then the second rekka you do is an HP, you will be able to FADC>combo.
Abel’s second and third rekkas are always the same regardless of which punch you use. Fei’s are similar to Yang’s, but I’ve never played him seriously, so I can’t say for sure how different the fadc is in application.
Does Yang have any really ambiguous setups after launch cancel into jumping normal. Hp into dash under , high low or command grab mixup is nice but it’s not as solid as some of Makoto’s crap.
And what shortcut are you using I always have trouble with slash fadc ultra and launcher walk forward ultra. Although not as much with the latter just not 99% consistent. I always get ex rekkas
A friend of mine who uses Sagat p-links using index/middle finger between the lk/lp which I find extremely awkward. I was in training mode a while yesterday and I think the most comfortable method I started using was thumb (lk) index (lp) method. It’s similar to just grabbing or crouch teching except I try to force myself to remember to drop my thumb first slightly before my index finger. Helped get the cr.lk p-links out more consistently.
