most wakeup options vary on what character you play against for the most part
my wakeup option sometimes is st.mp xx slashes, its low risk unless its parried

I have a problem with inputing the second and third slashes consistently. Especially the ex one. Mashing just doesn’t work, I think I may be doing it too fast… I need training mode.
They look deceptively fast but I just input them like I would Fri’s rekkas in st and they seem to come out fine for me. Not saying that I’ve never fucked them up but I get them 90% of the time
Mr. Rom/Deadeye i’m having trouble linking more slahes after the kick chain combo during the yang genei jin combo. I’m also that short kid that goes to svgl on the weekends. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

HEY EVERYBODY! I’m glad to see ppl still post in the character-specif threads!
I was gonna say, I MIGHT have found a breakthrough (for myself, at least!), regarding getting all the ex slashes to come out during combos. I noticed recently that if I delay the cancel a split second after a cr.lk, I now get all the hits. It seems like a COMBO of the hit-stun lasting longer than I thought, and the short start-up (start-up attack “frames”, I suppose you could say) of the ex mantis slash are responsible for my current greater success in special-canceling. For a long time, I had trouble getting all 5 hits of the ex slash, but only while trying to cancel off of a crouching attack. I need to see if my discovery applies to the cr.mk as well.
Sometimes it seems to be a range issue, but all 5 hits should always connect after cr.mk from the Zenpou-Tenshin (sp?) command grab, I believe.
