Yaiba:Ninja Gaiden Z-from the creator of Megaman-Now for Next Gen Consoles

Some gameplay footage and commentary…in Japanese.

It’s looking like I may Day 1 this game as well.

Damn, well I’m still hype for this game when it goes on steam sale.

I only take reviews as another bit of information…it’s extremely rare that they sway my decision one way or another…even with “mediocre” reviews this game still looks like something I’d enjoy.

I dont think its completely unable to be enjoyed, but for 60 bucks and the title “Ninja Gaiden” then it turns into a horrible deal.

Just being 30 fps and having the entire combat system dumbed down with a poor implementation of an “element system” was enough to ruin this game.

Also the same scenarios are used over and over with new skins so it never gets creative.

Parry system sucks.

Fixed camera.

“Platforming” is automatic with yaiba running or sliding and you getting quicktimes to jump.

Its a poor game but for 2 bucks I got it.

Yeah…decided not to day-1 this game.
I’ll wait for a sale/bargain bin.

It sucks, terrible game. Ninja Gaiden 3 no longer worst NG title now, way to fuck up Tecmo, just when you get to “maybe TN can survive” the whole Itagaki thing after Razor’s Edge and DOA5, we get this… Seriously giving me doubts about NG’s fusture, in that only good thing Hayashi’s Team Ninja has done with Gaiden was by restoring the past gameplay that worked.

It’s like a really really shitty, unfunny Suda 51 game with slightly better combat, which sucks anyways because of a horrible camera, vague notions of how shit works, and general shitty gameplay.

Blame Spark Unlimited. Inafune and Hayashi were probably sittin’ in recliner chairs relaxing the entire time this game was in development, while Hayashi brainstormed what he’s going to do with NG4.

How involved were Spark Unlimted?

As involved as Ninja Theory was with DmC.

Hayashi/Inafune hired Spark Unlimited for cheap(obviously, since most of their games are shit) and they did a huge majority of the development.

This game doesn’t even have a jump button most of the time, the dodge button turns into the jump button in certain situations.

If the game sucks ( I wouldn’t know since I haven’t played it) I will blame Inafune and Hayashi as much as Spark Unlimited. The moment a person puts their name on a product is the moment they take on some of the responibility of the success or failure of said product, you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Only immature and biased dumbasses make excuses for when someone they are a fan of is involved with something they detest.

The steam community for this game is one massive bitchfest over the price. I haven’t been able to find out shit about the PC port because of it.

I guess I’ll still buy it since Yaiba is so fucking edgy and says sugar tits and stuff.

With all this news, get Razor’s Edge instead. :coffee:

I’m downloading this game right now, though. Can’t be worse than vanilla NG3, no way.

If I ever do end up buying another 360 game, it’ll be Razor’s Edge. I think I have 46 games for my 'Box and I haven’t played all of them yet :nono:.

Keep in mind this game is a 360/PS3/PC game.

No idea why this and Lords of Shadow 2 or even Dark Souls 2 aren’t on next-gen consoles as well. Won’t be surprised if they get re-released…just seems weird considering all the other “cross-generation” games.

I know it’s current-gen. I think not going new-gen with this game was the right call, from what I’ve read.

Let me say again for the people who may have missed this a while back…

I actually bought vanilla NG3 collectors edition.

Worst +100 bucks ever spent

Yeah, I’d be pissed too. I got vanilla NG3 for $10. I actually got some enjoyment out of it.

Razor’s Edge=YAS.

To add insult to fucking injury 3 days ago I knocked over my Ryu figure trying on clothes, literally fell over on the table. His sword broke at the hilt.

Fuck.Me.

@Hawkingbird Game runs like butter on my rig @ full settings. So smooth.

Game isn’t nearly as shit as everyone is making it out to be. Combat is fun, it’s definitely not DMC/Bayo/NG1/2/3:RE tier, but it beats some of the B-tier action games out there pretty free.

Graphics are gorgeous, too. It’s definitely a bargain bin game though, and with the reviews it’s been hit with, you’ll definitely be able to get it for > 20 bucks pretty soon. :shake:

I like it though. Definitely in the 7ish/10 range like I thought it was going to be. Also, one of the bonuses is a Mighty. No 9 costume.
