Really use whoever you like. Irina is great for buffs/heals but lacks heavily in damage department. There’s so many ways to customize your team because how many characters there are.
My personal fave is HB. Has two taunts, four skill slots and last stand.
Basically my teams TP Battery. He spends 1000tp and gives everyone else 2000tp at max level.
Personality is great too. Dude is like I’m the best, hold that nigga.
HB is decent but doesn’t he only have 3 skill slots?
Took me a while to finally bite the bullet and branch out in my team. Had Lin/Elma/Lao forever.
Also, I’ve been told that save yourself some headache - Get Gwin to at least a 1 heart affinity. I guess some story quest requires this, and the last thing you wanna do is have to go grind him up if you haven’t touched him at all prior.

Yeah boot camp requires 1 heart affinity.
Another little skell tip, if using 2 melee weapons or a single shot guns for sidearms, once the first hits, press x to swap to the off hand so that his then switch back.
You can squeeze a bit more damage out swapping like that.

Possibly, I’m not really sure how treasure deal works, think it’s just first come first served to whoever’s in the squad.
Running Lin/Celica/[details=Spoiler]Mia[/details] atm, no real rhyme or reason but it seems to be working, tbh the cpu is shit at DPS so it’s pretty much just have whoever around to take some aggro, suppose a triple tank Lin/L/HB team might be best with this in mind but haven’t found a need to go that far vs anything that isn’t fought in a Skell yet.
Might switch [details=Spoiler]Mia[/details] back out for Irena once I do all her affinity missions.
Built my second level 60 Skell, it’s the easy to make one with armor that’s only as good as the level 50 heavy but it does seems to be surviving battles where the level 50s are getting trashed so there must be something going right with it.
Well, I got a notification that you were giving away a lvl 60 ceramic ultra knife so I hit the minus button and now I have one in my inventory, so I think I got it!

Haven’t tried blossom dance yet just heard it’s op, still if my character doesn’t do Dunban’s poem thing from Xenoblade when she does it it has no business being called blossom dance.
Honestly stuggling to find a gun I like better than dual pistols with photon saber, sniper is alright I guess, combos well and does good damage but the tp gain from dual pistols is just insane like “always in overdrive using tp arts” insane and ghost walker is just stupid against a lot of things.
I mean I know photon saber has the art that switches tp and hp but it’s kind of risky and I can’t just throw it out for soul triggers.

Am I the only one that’s disappointed they didn’t try to get the transformation sound from Transformers for the skell transformation?
I swear that sound rings through my head every time I switch between vehicle mode…
Blossom Dance and Ghostwalker are the keys in the build I posted above. One ignores defense, and the other ignores attacks.
