u guys must be joking. The game feels the same on both consoles. The only difference i have noticed is the colours on the ps3 seem slightly washed out. other than that plays the same, feels the same.

Today I played with friends SF4 for 3 hours comparing the xbox and ps3. We were using native non modded tourney sticks for each system. Here are the major differences I found.

Xbox has no loading.

PS3 has loading time on the character vs screen. It is brighter than the xbox. And most importantly, the controller is slightly more smoother than xbox. I’m not saying that xbox has lag but compared to PS3, it seems like the characters are slightly heavier on their feet than the PS3. The characters on the PS3 felt slightly lighter on their feet. And the control execution felt looserand smoother. For lack of a better way of putting it, PS3 SF4 felt as smooth and perfect as super turbo and the PS3 also felt as smooth as the arcade version of SF4. Don’t get me wrong the xbox is a great version but if you want your console SF4 to play as close to the arcade version as possible then the PS3 version is the way to go.

I played on different xbox and ps3’s and I always noticed for months now that ps3 controls better than xbox. I own and xbox btw and not a ps3.

So IMO if you want the best arcade like SF4 the PS3 is the way to go.

the reason why you people are goin different places playing the same game and missing the links you always get is 100% due to the tv on which you are playing on.

EVERY lcd has dif ammount of MS input lag. the only LCD that i know of proven to have 0-8 MS of input lag running through anything but VGA connection (being that u cant play sf4 with VGA on ps3) are the “evo lcd” the brand called ASUS. if u go somewhere and miss links on a properly setup asus monitor or a CRT tv. thats because ur used to doing laggy ass LCDTV combos.

arcade is slower. while i have no factual data to support this, it’s has pretty much always been the case, aannnndd console just feels faster than arcade

^arcade is not slower.

Arcade screens are 1000% input lag free. meaning your gonna have to wait that extra frame or 2 to actually do your combo correctly… so it feels slower…

Arcade is on completely different hardware, so the monitor being lag free does not mean the game speeds are not different.

This is the same cabinet that the Japanese plays on in there arcades and SBO.

xbox 360 version is superior if its played on a Vewlix F cabinet.

The reason that 360 version seems faster than the PS3 is because of 1 less frame of input lag, so its more responsive which makes it feel faster.

xbox 360 version looks better and play exactly like the type x2 arcade board.

Vewlix F + SF4 type X2 board = Vewlix F + SF4 xbox360 in game play…this is replicating what the Japanese plays on.

Any other type of LCD cabinet can lag and some CRT cabinet can lag due to the control(jvs I/O control to convert to jamma)

So this is the definitive monitor, more so than the asus evo monitor in terms of having the most accurate test results.

play it on both systems, and me being a combo whore when im bored in training mode i think i would have noticed if there was much of a difference. Have the same stick for both systems and I have never noticed anything different whatsoever.
