The black wire is LB. the blue is my ground. I made the same mistake following the picture as well lol. Ive verified with a meter that my ground is infact the ground.
Ok sooooā¦Redid all wiring on the new controller. Looks great. No shorts that I can find. All buttons work except itās constantly pressing āupā I desoldered the āupā wire and itās still doing it. I honestly donāt get it. Is it something with the analog stick removal I need to do that I wasnāt aware of?
EDIT: Found out about the analog stickā¦Reinstalling them now.
Take pride in your work, its not as āperfectā as ED, but its a mod of your own creation, you already have a leg up on hundreds of other people cause you arenāt scared to get knee deep in wiring and took the plunge.
So i tried wiring my Fightpad to my Xbox One controller, and as soon as I plug the USB to micro usb cable into Xbox One controller it is as if every single button is being mashed down at once. Anyone know what could be causing this?
Yes, basically wired the a button (fightpad) to a button(xbox one) and so on. And 1 ground wire to ground wire of Xbox One.
Will the Fightpad need a power source? Cause Im thinking of the fightpad as just Buttons and dpad like the sanwa parts in a stick which I was able to do no problems.
So you got the gnd. Did you make sure you soldered to the correct spots for the signals on the xbone controller? I know some of the diagrams that were posted had some spots wrong.
To test I would say remove the RB and LB signals and try with only the a, b, x, and y first.
Edit: You could try connecting the power to each other but when I did a project box mod for my friend, I did not have to connect the powers. The button is just shorting when it is pressed down similar to a sanwa button being pressed down.
No just the gnds need to be connected. Sgnd is shield gnd and is basically just an extra gnd.
Dumb question but are you sure you are soldering the signal side of the button on the sfxt pad to the signal side of the button on the Xbone and not accidently soldering the gnd from one pad to the signal of the other.
Been following this thread for some days now and still not sure if i want to padhack my SFxT VS fightstick as i still like some SFiv on the X360.
So i am wondering, if i leave the stick as it is, including the usb cable (can store that in the compartment in the stick so thats no problem)
Can i just add an Xbox one pad-pcb + 2nd USB cable and dual wire the buttons ? (connect xbox one pad-pcb to the existing Madcatz cablebox)
That when i use the x360 cable it works on the x360 and when i plug in the x1 cable it works for my x1.
Or do i get problems with the pcb as it now is ?
Maybe i think to simple ?
Would be good to keep my stick useable for x360 and add x1 support
