Xbox Live does not track UMVC3 Ranked match gamertags?

I normally keep track of who i play online but XBL doesn’t keep a record of the users i play on ranked matches. I’m not sure if this is intentional or not.

The annoying thing to take from this is that you can’t add a player as a friend except straight after the match has ended. and also makes it more difficult to track ragequitters (as well as flamming them when they do rage quit)

has anyone else had this problem?

This discussion probably belongs in the “what people msg you umvc3 thread”, but we noted it there as well. It was probably done because most of the harassing messages that came out of MvC3 came from ranked matches - once you remove people from the “recently played” list, people don’t have the motivation to take the extra steps to type in the name.

I don’t know if it’s changed(doubt it) but in vanilla MvC3 you can see who you
played against by pressing the home button, then going to friends, then tapping
RB and it’d list who you’ve fought. Let’s be honest though, you just want to
send angry letters to ragequiters. :stuck_out_tongue:

I noticed this too. I can see all my player matches but not ranked, which sucks cause when I lose, I usually want to message people with “gg” or “really nice ______ you got there” etc. Or if my net goes down and I RQ, I apologize for it.

The main issue I have with this bug/feature is that when someone quits after I kill their first character, or right before the KO, I’m unable to leave negative rep for ragequitting, so they continue to show up in matchmaking. It sucks.

yup, it’s bullshit

Hrmmm this got me to thinking. In ranked MVC2 rage quitting is a regular experience, but I’ve yet to have anyone rage quit on me in ranked UMVC3.
