I might get it soon. Someone owe’s me a game purchase but they are kinda flakey. Ill let you know if i get it.
I did get Marvel Ultimate Alliance though in the mail. Heard it was alot of fun with friends. Ill see if i can find some people to find with if im not too late to the party.
I went through 2 slims with problems out of the box(G/RROD on one and DRE on the other) The third however, gave me no problems except I sold it for gas money to get to evo.
Good to know. Now I’m just trying to configure my portable hard drive so I can transfer a few of my saves and some DLC from my standard premium box.
Dedication right there . Hopefully I’ll have none, the store I’m getting it from is just down the road from me so returns shouldn’t be a problem. They’ve cancelled the midnight launch though. Obviously not as popular as they expected. Means I won’t have it until tomorrow morning.
I just got my slim. Out of the box it wasn’t showing the hard drive. I opened the side up and gave it a little push and it jumped somewhere between a half to an inch into the console. I’m guessing it wasn’t connected properly but is this normal as I’m using quite a bit of force on that fibre tab they provide and it will not come back out?
It is working though. I grabbed it for £189 so I just bought the transfer cable instead of messing around with my portable usb hard drives and it’ll come in handy as we have another 2 xbox’s we need to switch saves and DLC from (My brothers was in the sitting room which is where my old premium will now be going and he can have his in his bedroom). Overall it seems pretty good. Very sensitive touch buttons, minor imperfection on my power button for some reason but I won’t complain. Extra USB ports is great as my headset mixamp can now connect around the back.
If you have a usb flash drive you may be able to quickly set one up as a memory card and transfer some important saves and DLC, but if not your best bet is probably to shell out for one.
So, what happened to APB being a multi-platform release? I was sure this was supposed to also come out on 360 and Ps3, but apparently that’s not the case anymore? It surprises me that some companies still make games exclusively for a PC. Wouldn’t there be more money (*and wouldn’t it be easier? Maybe not, I don’t know since I’m not in that industry obviously…) in releasing on consoles?
Well, to hell with that game then. I’ve never been a fan of pc gaming, and I’m definitely not about to start now.
*Surprisingly, I still look forward to Fable 3…just a matter of months away now…
This man is correct. We’ll take 360’s with RF switches and composite cables.
Edit:
It’s all about business. I’m sure GS came to the conclusion that the amount of money and time it took to get the 360 fixed wasn’t enough profit to warrant getting them fixed. Not to mention at least in my case I hate selling people the refurbished 360’s because I feel they have the highest chance of breaking down. I really don’t feel comfortable with it so I try my best to sell them at least a used one. I don’t even like selling the actual refurbs that Microsoft sends us.
