I have it. It’s actually pretty fun. It’s only a few tracks, and you alternate types of cars in multiplayer, but I think it’s a great alternative to kart racers if you don’t like cutesy stuff. It takes a fair amount of skill to use attacks correctly, and it doesn’t feel ‘cheap’ as far as I can tell.
Currently playing through Bayonetta, Halo Wars, Assassin’s Creed 2, and Duke Nukem 3D.
Halo Wars isn’t a bad RTS, I have to say. Very simple though, and probably the first RTS I’ve been able to sit down and play in a while until Starcraft II hits PC…Though given my PC’s substandard specs (random non-gaming laptop), I think I might pick up Red Alert 3 on the cheap for 360 - I hear it’s actually a capable port, and communist war bears sounds really appealing the more I hear it.
I also got into the Blur beta, so I might try that soon.
Always see RA3 on the cheap, but never did just pick it up. Been a fan of C&C since the OG version (when I didn’t know what “system” it was on cause we didnt have a PC at the time). I am still of the mind that Controller doesn’t equal mouse when playing RTS on consoles.
Nice, will definitely try it out today then.
Just Cause 2 feels so much better than 1. That game was such a wreck.
Are the downloaded episodes for RE5 any good?
Yes. Go visit the Resident Evil thread to get details. But all of the DLC is going to be packaged up and thrown on sale soon so don’t buy it yet.
oh yep they came out today
“Lost in Nightmares”, “Desperate Escape” and the first two costume pack DLCs for 960 points.
costume packs are for homos though so its not that great of a deal since the 2 episodes are only 800
I agree entirely on the mouse being superior - it’s about precision. Not only that, the keyboard allows for macroing, which is usually essential depending on the RTS. The reasons I’m considering picking it up for 360 is because I’ve heard good things, it’s $20 bucks in EB Games’ bins, I don’t have a PC to run it, and Halo Wars has me convinced that RTS on consoles isn’t entirely a pipedream - it just requires a bit of work. Reviews have been satisfactory so I’ll probably throw down the twenty on it at some point when I’ve got less to play.
Thanks, man. Good lookin’ out.
damnit sigley they aren’t just costumes you moron! They are characters with their own weapon sets for mercs! Shit man this isn’t street fighter!
So my 360’s video card just burned out and it’s way past my warranty so I’m thinking of just purchasing an arcade and slapping on my old hard drive. I heard about having to transfer my dlc but are there any other issues to look out for?
I haven’t done the license transfer since I happen to be online whenever playing 360 anyway (*still might do it later…I don’t like the concept of absolutely needing to be online just to play games I purchased…that’s ridiculous.). I’ve had absolutely no problems or annoyances though.
Isn’t it the truth? Kids want everything new and now.
Doing that. I bought her last night! Sooooooooo goooooooood. Just really hard to fight in. Not much of an FPSer here. lol
It is sad so many great XBLA games are a ghost town a week or so after release. Even the games that I thought would retain an audience (most recently Outrun Online Arcade) are empty.
There are exceptions, though. Perfect Dark next week is going to be one of them. Can’t wait for it myself.
I have Espgaluda II and Dream C Club on their way to me now. I feel the former is going to rape me in a bad way and I won’t know how to navigate the menus of the latter one.
Any Canadians in need of an Xbox can pick one up(Arcade) at Best Buy, Futureshop, and Walmart for 130.
Also the controllers are on sale for $45.
Yeah, friend of mine just picked one up. $70 off was too much for him to pass up.
Anyone picking up metro 2033 next week. Games looks pretty sick.
