I want to do the same, but concerned about the audio. My computer has no audio input capability.
Hey guys, I actually don’t own a TV, I use the vga cables. They do in fact show up as HD, because monitors are essentially an HDTV to begin with. Computer monitors run at a much higher resolution than the average tv. However nowadays with HDTVs they’re more or less the same or on par. Even though I have a bigscreen tv in the living room, it’s an old tv so it’s not HD at all. I prefer to play my 360 on my monitor just because of the quality.
About 40-60 hours without Sidequests. Replay value is pretty good too.

Alright, I’m getting a 360 finally next week(Arcade version), but I was wondering how important the hard drive is. Do I have to get an “X-Box” compatible hard drive, or do I even need one?
Also, I know the list of compatible games was posted already, but if it’s not on the list, does that mean I can’t play it?
Don’t get the Arcade version man. You’ll need a hard drive and right now is that awkward time between new skus and soon to be discontinued skus. But you need a hard drive unless you never ever plan to go online with your 360. And even then…
Just get the Elite.

Has anyone had/heard of any problems with freezing when playing Sonic and Sega All-Star Racing? My Xbox froze 3 times yesterday while playing it, freaked me out because I thought my Xbox was dying. But then I played Mass Effect 2 and Darksiders for the rest of the day with no problems whatsoever. So then I tried playing Sonic Racing again and again it froze.
What’s weird is I tried playing it on my nephews Xbox and it didn’t freeze at all after hours of playing.
You can buy RCA > stereo plug that can easily go into the computer or the most typical stereo input. I also had to buy 2-way jacks that can make 2 male to male RCA plugs connect depending on what you get. Keep that in mind as if you plan to go that route.
Found everything easily through bestbuy, but i’m most certain you can find it dirt cheap at amazon.
That’s the thing though. The arcade version will go on sale next week with a total discount of $70. That’s a really good deal if you ask me. Even then, I don’t have a problem with getting a Microsoft Hard Drive or modding my system. Mind you, I don’t care for storing music and movies and shit on the 360, strictly for gaming. So what’s a good size hard drive for what I want to do?
For gaming alone the smallest, 20GB, is fine.
You only get about 13GB of actual space, but I’ve survived perfectly fine on that for 2-3 years now.

I recently bought an Arcade system as a replacement. There is a small amount of internal memory on there, so you can still save stuff. I think it’s 277 MB. That would be enough for your average game-save, or watching smaller game-videos off the market place. Of course it wouldn’t cover your average demo though…it seems like demos are typically several hundred MBs to around 1.4 gigs.
At 70 bucks, I’d say go ahead…that’s quite a difference from the regular price of 199.99. Of course you should pick up a 20 or 60gig HDD later.
Do you have the demo still downloaded? If you have the demo downloaded, then it will count the game as installed. This could cause some problems. Some people say that the game might freeze when it is trying to load the last race in the first GP, but that is it.
Anyone know where i can find a arcade system once it goes on sale?

Nah I never downloaded the demo. Hmm, most of the freezing was during the first GP. Now that I’ve cleared most of them on my nephews Xbox I’ll try playing again on mine and see if it still freezes.
