Xbox 360 fight stick

Hello guys,

I am trying to build a fightstick for an xbox 360. I have a wireless cg2 controller. I kind of understand how to wire for the buttons, but i need help with the triggers and bumpers and the joystick. Any links or videos would be appreciated.
Thanks

LB and RB you just wire like how you do other Buttons.

The Triggers are Active High, so you will need to do Invert.

Thanks for the help, does this work for the bumpers also or can you just use the triggers and have 6 buttons?
Also does anyone have any tutorials on how to solder the wires to the dpad and attach the joystick.
Thanks!

I said that there is nothing special you have to do for the LB and RB.
Just solder them like how you do other Buttons.

The special thing to do is for the Triggers.

Sorry i misread it, thanks for the help.

My guy Nerrage will come.

Okay. The Dpad is just like your buttons, only easier. If you can solder to the buttons, you can do the same deal there. Take your wire harness, and use this guide to find out which color is which direction.

What I typically do is tin the wires of the wiring harness (Melt a little solder over the ends of the stranded wire to join the tiny strands into one, big, easy to work with wire). Then, Take a little more solder, and melt it onto the signal sides of the Dpad, and one of the grounds, then in left hand, take wire, in right, soldering iron. Re-melt the solder you have in place on the dpad contacts. When it liquifies, then put the tinned wire in the liquid solder, pull off the iron, while holding the wire in place until the solder cools. When you let go, you’ve soldered it on.

Repeat this process for the rest of the wires. Make sure no solder leaks over to touch both contacts. This is bad :nono:. If you do this, the direction will be activated forever! So, take your iron, and a desoldering device of some sort (copper braided wire/solder sucker/desoldering pump), and suck it up. Sucker/pump sucks away melted solder, you just suck up when it is hot, copper braided wire sucks it up in the presence of melted solder. But hold it with pliers. Because it gets hot as you desolder.

The dpad is easiest, it generally has the biggest contacts. If you can do buttons, you can do the dpad.

Thanks for all the help. Once i get my parts in i will post pictures.
