I recently downloaded Crystal Quest and i had installed the update for it. Little did i know that the update was to crap out all the achievements. My question was basically, can’t you delete a game from your account and re-download it with out having to pay for it again? Like if i delete the game and the update and try to download it again, will i have to pay the MPs again?
What do you mean by crapping out the achievements? Once you buy a game, MS keeps a record of it, so if you delete it and redownload with the same gamertag, you won’t have to pay again. Have you tried deleting your cache to see if it’ll get rid of the update? Or even try to find it in the HD? Deleting the game might still leave the update in your system.
To clear the system cache, Go to ‘memory’ in the system blade, and then highlight the hard drive. Press: Y, X, X, LB, RB, X, X. The following message should appear: “Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?” Choose Yes and the cache is cleared. Be advised that this clears all the title updates to any game you previously downloaded so you will have to redownload them again!
There were achievements that i know i had gotten but the update glitched them up so i wont be able to get them. I just wanted to get delete the game as a way to delete the update ya know.
So deleting the cache deletes all the updates for all downloaded games? Or all the updates in your HD?
