I mean, when the alternative is J-Law Mystique doing it…I’d much rather it be Wolverine. Then again, I’d much rather it be X3 Juggernaut or well…pretty much anyone over J-Law Mystique doing it but still.
Because, and for argument’s sake let’s just ignore the original trilogy for this, putting a fresh out of Weapon X Wolvie as their drill sergeant and essential guardian, even moreso when you realize the last two times THIS Wolverine has come into contact with Xavier have been completely negative (so if he remembered anything by chance, it’d go to hell)…how the hell would they fit that into the movie even if you remove Mystique outright?
And of course there’s the issue of Jackman only really having one movie left after this so putting him in that role temporarily is just extra stupid.
Well seeing how she said she didnt care about comics, didnt take the role serious, she kind of thought the whole thing was a joke, not to mention after she won awards for other films. She kind of stopped caring about xmen, seeing it as a joke.
His Aliens and Terminator credentials easily make him the top man to make any kinda superhero based movie imo. Dudes sci-fi genius is so leveled up he makes time fuckery make sense.
Hey, you’re the one that acted like bringing X-23 in would be a horrible idea, despite Apocalypse showing the Weapon X stuff happened, and that her being Wolverine well, after Wolverine is not only a logical and rational step forward considering Jackman stepping down, but you know, faithful to the comics anyway.
Dude, there’s supposed to be 40 years of history between X-Men: Apocalypse and the DOFP “future” ending. Also, Xavier is totally aware of Wolverine’s existence and he’s in debt with him. Of course Xavier’s going to rescue him eventually!
