Morph was created exclusively for the TV show. I’d be pretty sure Fox doesn’t have the rights over him.
I know Morph was made just for the show. More specifically, he was made to die in the first episode to set the tone of the series. But he became a fan favorite and they brought him back later on.
My point (along with some humor) is that if it is a tribute to the 90’s cartoon, Morph could have been used. And if it is fan made, I would think he could actually use any character he wanted. I could have said “no Jubilee” but I think most of us are glad she isn’t in there. Looking back at that cartoon, Jubilee was pretty annoying.
Nah pretty sure they ended up bringing him into comics at some point.

The funny guy FOX Morph also played a role in the Age of Apocalypse crossover series in the 90’s even though he had a different physical appearance (like everyone in that series).
Aside from that there was a Morph in the X-Men comics way before the FOX tv show that died quickly because of something.

I’m aware of that. I didn’t realize the most recent one is still going on. I was reading it but kind of lost interest months ago. I figured it must have ended by now but apparently not.
The only Marvel books I read at the moment are both Star Wars related.
Wolverine is already kind of back, as Old Man Logan is with the X-Men now.
Nova or Xavier, I hope so.
