Not a surprise, but too late. I think they should have gone for a more cohesive and integrated universe. The moment they decided the Fantastic Four reboot should still be its own self-contained universe, there I basically lost most of my interest.
Although the whole “alternate universe” plot device will work for a crossover event, both properties will be too difficult to integrate because of this, the X-Men universe is too powerful for Fantastic Four, it’s filled with hundreds of mutants for example, while Fantastic Four are basically four guys from a world like ours, that happen to have mild superpowers.
IF this were to happen, I guess they could do some sort of loose adaptation of Days of future Present, with RockB Ahab.
In reality, it sounds like a last ditch effort to keep the rights if this FF film fails.
With Ant man gettting a 58 M opening weekend, I seriously doubt FF will get over 50, due to the minimal marketing and troubled production.
Plus singers box office clout was in the toilet after Jack the Giant slayer , so Im sure him doing DOFP and Apoc was to build himself to be profitable and desirable again.
I doubt he’ll jump to FF;he doenst want another comic albatross around his neck after Superman returns.
imo, the new FF movie is already destined to tank at the box office so why bother with film-crossover shit? bryan singer is trying too hard to ride his x-train into the ground already, now he’s gotta mouth off with “future projects”? sheesh…
yo, when’s captain america civil war? i’m hype for that!
Im not a huge Marvel buff, but isnt Nightcrawler meant to be Mystiques son? How the fk are they gonna have Nighty in this when he is basically the same age as Mystique?
Well, Rogue was Mystique’s adopted daughter and that got thrown out quick. And hey, for all we know on the Jubilee thing, they just plan on turning her into a vampire a lot earlier.
