X-Force in itself is a terrible idea. The idea of a mutant assassination group created by Cyclops is unbelievable in its own right. To have a devout religious member in Wolfsbane is equally absurd. Of course I should have remembered by now most of these writers have never actually read a comic book in their life.
This is the second reshuffling of X-Titles in 4 years. Marvel proves once again that they just don’t have a clue.

yeah Xforce would be an awesome book if Sabertooth were still around and on the team. But he’d probably be one of the villans they’d kill.
BTW a friend of mine asked me If i think X23 could beat sabertooth. My answer is no. I think she’d hold her own and the battle would be cool to watch but eventually sabertooth would just rip her to shreds. Anyone think differently?

Let’s be honest. X-Force is just another method of delivery for Wolverine. I mean, there definitely aren’t enough comics with him in there, right?

And nah, Sabretooth could probably beat down the majority of the Marvel cast. Really, Sabretooth got shot into little chunks by Deadpool, and still didn’t even get beaten. I think that Sabretooth could beat pretty much anybody in Marvel, pretty much the entirety of the X-Men cast, except for the more-powerful guys like Thor, Iron Man and the like. But especially with people who can’t just disintegrate him (like Cyclops and his crazy power from Civil War: X-Men) or simply pull his brain out of his body (like…literally), he could beat anybody. I’m still sore about Sabretooth killing Garadeb Bashur…
X23 wouldn’t stand a chance against Sabretooth.

I contend that whoever would write that fight would have x23 do some major moves and even some cool take downs… but if they arent writing X23 running from sabertooth or fighting to get away then x23 is done.
I aggree the the only people that stand a chance vs sabertooth would be armored heroes or broken ones…
X23 beats sabretooth because she’s an improvement on everything he and wolverine are/were. She’s got wins over wolverine, and she brutalized lady deathstrike, who goes toe to toe with Sabretooh and Wolverine.
I’d say she loses. She’s too inexperienced versus Sabertooth. Though I bet she’d give him a run for his money.
If Cable doesn’t make a quick trip to the present to cameo in the last Cable/Deadpool, I will be pissed as hell.

x23 battles are kind of random atm, she should be>>>than sabertooth and crew but less experienced, altho she did own deathstrike which i actually didnt see coming. When she told wolves “he heals to slow” i kinda lol’d. I think sabertooth would wear her out with mind games and experience tho.
But as of right now, x23 is one of my fave new xmen.
Speaking of which im kinda upset of new xmen ending like this… It was a great book.
I’ve honestly never been too big of a fan of X-23. I admit she’s got moves and is a touch cookie, just I’ve always got the impression that when she was created it was under the thought process of “hey a wolverine spinoff would be cool… BUT AS A GIRL!!”
Don’t get me wrong she’s a solid character now and has a decent history, just that’s the impression i get.
I can see how you feel like that, I guess it was her introduction and flow up books that made her a very enjoyable character. Nyx which was a beastly series on its own started her off in the right light.

To be honest Wolverine is the character I’ve always cared about the least, if only for the fact that he seems to be there just for the sole purpose of fitting into every situation.
He’s a killer, a family man, a lover, a mentor to small children, a badass assasain, a “tough but tender” uncle type, etc. I mean I can get paradoxical personalities and all, but it’s just annoying to see writers alter his personality/abilities/past to fit any situation
Badass tough guy wolverine who had a soft spot for kitty was always the best. Then he’d go out drinking with Nightcrawler.
I was just reading on Wikipedia about Elixir, he is an interesting character. He’s like the Bizarro Iceman.
Iceman - “I hate my powers and I am afraid of them, even though I can potentially do anything using them, I won’t because I am a pussy. Everyone is gonna be ashamed of me”
Elixir - “My powers are limitless and I can change the world, I am going to sit here, not use them, and ponder what I can do with them. Everyone is gonna be afraid of me.”

yeah elixir got to me with that, It made sense for a min after he went all black plague and was killing people by touching em. Its funny how they have to keep him out of battles now. Dude got hit in the head by a sent and was unconscious for all of messiah complex.
Iceman has been showing mad skill lately, Using his powers kinda like when frost had him. It all about him now being able to get destroyed in ice form and heal up
Funny you should say that since your post makes it apparent you’ve never read a comic prior to 2000. Wolfsbane has always been devoutly religious. She was the nightcrawler of the new mutants. There was constant inner turmoil from the fact that her reilgion made her an abomination in her eyes and she spent years coming to terms with that. So, in conclusion, stick to statistics.
Despite the arguments otherwise I still think Sabertooth Beats x23. Simply cause he would just wear her out. Unless she’s fighting to get away. If its about beating him up enough for her to run away than i guess she wins(?) if you call that a win.
Elixir is just one of those characters that will continue to get peaced out because you cant have him around for most stories. He’s a loophole and also he’s a block because you can use him to bring back certain characters but you will also need to write in reasons why elixir cant get there to do his thing.
Same with rachel If rachel and elixir were around and fully functioning team mebers during messiah complex Rachel would’ve found cable quickly all of the xmen would’ve been around to launch a fullscale attack on sinister alot sooner. … essentially the story would’ve been about 2 or 3 issues long and that would’ve been it.
and wasn’t X23 first appearance in Xmen Evolution. I think i read that it was her appearance there that led to her appearance everywhere else.
