Room has been booked. I need peoples’ email addresses if you want to look at the confirmation information. Check-in is at 3pm on 8-14-10 and check-out is at 12pm on 8-15-10. So, we’ll leave Milwaukee at 9am, get there around 3pm, unpack, play some casuals, enter tourney, beast, then leave MN at 12pm, getting back to Milwaukee around 6-7pm. I’d really, really prefer if we could leave from a central location as opposed to me picking up/dropping off 4 people. Let me know.

Alright, to everyone coming to Minnesota on August 14 we are going to meet up at my place in the morning. My address is 4080 N 89th st Milwaukee WI You can all Park on the street. Everyone should get to my place at around 8:30. We might be able to play some matches if we have time 
If somebody other than me also brings an xbox 360 we might be able to have 2 setups in the hotel room depending on if the hotels tv’s allow for games. Everyone who has an xbox stick should bring theirs.

Yeah, it’s probably better if we all meet at shin’s around 8:00/8:30am, absolutely no later. We need to be on the road at 9am sharp. Mapquest says it’ll be 5 hours and 50 minutes, and we need to probably stop somewhere for gas/food, so that’ll add another hour to our travel time, putting us in MN around 4pm. 3S and SSF4, the only two games our crew is interested in, begins at 6pm (3S) and 7pm (SSF4). That’ll give us 2 hours of casual time/eating time/etc at the hotel. Next fight night, I suggest we all focus our efforts on 3S and SSF4 to prepare for the tournament.

Seriously you can buy some 360 for like $90 on craigslist now, there’s no reason not to get one
Except it was probably kept in the cat’s litterbox after purchase and 6 months later when they went to clean it they remembered they had bought it for madden and tried to sell it
RROD scared me away from getting a 360.
A warning if you do end up getting a 360 through Craigslist: Be wary of buying modded Xbox 360s. If you sign into Live with one of those, you get banned. 
Soo, I cracked and bought BlazeBlue today. Yeaaaaah, not so sure how I feel about it. Don’t hate it as much as I thought, but still don’t really care too much for it. At most, I’ll just play it somewhat casually, but will probably never get really into as I did with SF4.
yeah i heard that even replacing small parts in the system can make them consider the system to be modified… thanks for the warning. I don’t think i would get one any time soon. I haven’t even bought any games whatsoever this year.

As far as RROD I have had my 360 for damn near 4 years now and play it everyday for at least 2 hours. I’ve left the thing on overnight before and never had any problems. I think the whole RROD is hyped waaaaaay more than it should be. I have a PS3 as well and have had it freeze on me while playing GOW 3 during cut scenes.
Nailed it. The way he was talking it up, I pretty much had to try it. Meh.
So long as you’re careful with your 360, you shouldn’t have to worry about an RRoD.
Admittedly, I’ve gone through two 360s so far; however, I have never experienced an RRoD.
First 360 – had it since 360 launch day – the DVD reader started to crap out on me during its fourth year, resulting in me not being able to play games. Up till that point, all it’d done was mostly sit on a level below my TV, cramped together with my other consoles.
Second one has been completely fine, especially now that it’s got air to breathe (It sits on its own level while my PS3 and Wii are below it).

but yeah…Im wary of 360’s myself. My slim PS3 has gone through a lil physical abuse, but has yet to malfunction on me. My cuzzo who owns a 360 has been affected by a RROD only once. that alone…although them new slim 360’s with brand new SKU’s…do entice me very much. Just like with BlazBlue…I’ll prolly cave in somewhere down the road.
