Jasen, is there an installation guide besides the video on YT? I ended up not using some of the included hardware.
Fantastic! 1/2" long enough? Im assuming 8-32 for the feet?
More than. Feet are 10-32.
Just bought a few packs of regular screws and totally forgot these existed Great tip!
Jasen, a minor complaint: the techflex on the joystick connector came apart pretty easily and frayed. Have you considered melting the ends of the techflex a bit before putting it on the cable to help with this?
Also, an accessory suggestion: carrying handle.
They are specially manufactured cables, so its not something I personally did. I wont be using that manufacturer again because they didnāt use the shrinkflex material with the glue on the inside as required, which is why it probably slid out. For the most part this has been a rather uncommon experience but it has happened.
Carrying handlesā¦ Maybe a guitar strap?
I was thinking something along the lines of the Qanba Q4 handle.
Oh, I havenāt seen anything like that ready off the shelf per se. I was considering adding something like that to the PFSWB I did, but they were pretty brutal installs with a lot of weird sharp edges. On the surface it didnāt seem like something that was going to work out without a big run of custom parts being made.
Adding a handle would just ruin it.
So much this!
Also, say one wanted to install an optical JLF, where is the most convenient spot to tap for 5v?
On the system of systems board there is a JOYSTICK LED header. There is one pin thatās 5V. You can use that. Itās a molex .100 KK header.
Just ordered two sheets of this noise damping material for the interior panels - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005RNGRMU - should arrive tomorrow, Iāll post results!
So Iām going to install one of the brooks universal fightboards into my original panzer case (Iād get a panzer 2 for it, but the canadian dollar is so bad right now, Iād have to take out a loanā¦). I need to add a button for the PS4 touchpadā¦ What would be the best way to put a new button hole into a panzer case. Obviously a dremel isnāt going to work. Any drill bit recommendations?
Jasen told me in another thread: āYikes! If you plan on drilling through the steel, get a step bit and then get a nice small bit to start it. If you think the HitBox metal is bad, the OG is going to be even crazier (And I have drilled through a finished one).ā Just to help you understand what you have to do and how hard itāll be.
You do have a few other options, using 4P or 4K as your TPKey is one of them which is what Iāll try first (I never use 4P or 4K anyways, so Iāll probably use a 7 button stick and see how it feels), then you can also use an Imp to change between Share to be Select is what I heard from Gummo.
Just in the knick of time for #FightStickFriday. I really wished I could have finished the other one too tonightā¦ Just too stressful of a day!
Introducing for the first time in her entiretyā¦ Matilde, the Panzer Kommandant. Her German namesake means āstrong in warā which is fitting when youāre putting your opponents down with your Panzer Fight Stick. Welcome to the family.
Amazing panzers coming out.

This is how much was left over from one of the $12 sheets

Overall it is a minor but noticeable improvement. Joystick movements and button presses feel more solid. Your left hand doesnāt feel vibrations from what your right hand is doing and vice-versa. The downside is that the stick is about one pound heavier, and youāre out $12. Combined with acoustic foam inserts (on order), I think it will be the ultimate stick.
