Www.eightarc.com premium tournament joystick thread

Zeth, we’re ready to ship your order as soon as you come around.

Can i still buy a 360 onyx stick with a clear ball top, and your site will install it before shipping the product to me?

Hi Sonic. Yes we are still doing this.

Thanks, that’s good to hear. Do you have a specific date when this feature ends?

Also, I’m thinking of buying the 360 onyx instead of the fusion stick, since the wood material sounds stronger than the plastic material.

I would like to buy the ps3+360 fusion stick, but it looks like the ABS plastic material will not last as long as the 360 onyx wood material.

So, do you think the fusion ABS plastic material is stronger or weaker than the 360 onyx MDF wood material? Because I want to buy the stick that will last longer between these two products.

I’m very interested in buying your stick except for one thing:
How easy is it to customize the cover art on your sticks?
I can’t find any pictures of your stick that’s been customized.

I agree with Hurtabro. Since there is no reasonable price here in Mexico, I think I got no choice but pay the expensive shipping cost.

So, in order to make it worth, I like to customize the fightstick directly from store.

I want the joystick PS3 ebony to be…

  1. Octagonal restrictor
  2. Clear faceplate
  3. Color buttons (green, red, blue, purple, black, black, black, black)
  4. Cherry ball yellow.

So, how much does it cost the ebony joystick already pimped? I guess I could modded myself, but I would lose the warranty, didn’t I?

Well, when you take shipping cost into account, does it really matter?

We’ll keep this offer going until it gets too out of control.

Both the ABS plastic and MDF wood should last you many years. The MDF wood has a shinier finish, but on the flip side, you need to be more careful from protecting it from scratches and superficial damage. If you travel often and go to tournaments, in general plastic will survive the wear and tear better than wood.

Hi Hurtabro, customizing the art on our joysticks is easy. The harder part is choosing what art you’d like to show off. We are working on putting together some videos that step through the process.

If you are handy with a screwdriver, you can pop off the top and bottom panels easily and have full access to all components and replacing the printed faceplate with a clear panel and your own art.

Hi megaman, we don’t carry an octogonal restrictor. I would suggest purchasing this from another vendor. Also, I am also not sure what a “cherry ball yellow” is.

You can visit our site and add the faceplate, buttons, and balltop of your choice to the shopping basket and it will give you a total. I am not sure of exactly which components you want as we have various options.

Yes, modifying the joystick yourself will void the warranty. All joystick manufacturers have a similar policy.

Let’s take these specific order questions offline and use email instead of addressing them in this thread. We can continue this conversation at info@eightarc.com

Appreciate the interest.

Hello there eightarc will you be getting sanwa’s OBSC-30mm and 24mm clear snap-in pushbuttons to be sold on your site, hope to see them in stock soon.

No plans right now to get those, but maybe in the future if there is enough demand.

Hi Eightarc, I live in Japan in the military. Can you ship to APO, AP addresses? I so you have a buyer for one of your fusion sticks.

Hi magneto. We just shipped a joystick to an APO address earlier this week. AE, AP, and AA addresses are all welcome for a flat shipping rate of $20!

Thanks for the quick reply! I know the next question might be a little far fetched but do you know how long it may take to get to the location if I’m in Japan area?

You’re looking at 1-2 weeks depending on customs clearance. I know that APO/FPO addresses may take longer than normal overseas shipments.

I understand. Thanks for the replies. I will be ordering as soon as possible.

So i’m kind of confused on how I should go about using the template for custom art. I only really see one layer and then when I insert my artwork into another layer can’t get both to be visible at the same time (in order to see where the buttons and stick are going to go).

I guess I should say i’m using the photoshop template btw. I just want to figure out how to make it so when I insert the image I can also see the template’s image and see where the buttons and stick show up vs the location on the picture.

Hi Alice-chan, this is really simple to do. If the Eightarc template is on Layer 1, and your art is on Layer 2, you can simple select Layer 2 and adjust its opacity in the Layers window. I’ve included a screen capture as well with opacity highlighted. We’d love to see what art you’re using too.

I just wanted to say that I bought a stick from these guys locally. I bought at 2pm, emailed them, and they wrote me back and were able to deliver it to me at 9PM while I was working, right on time. Very happy with the Fusion stick, been using it for PC AE, can’t wait to get a PS3 and give it a go there :))
