The majority of people here who make their own art use .PSD format for the templates (@ 300dpi) as these are the programs most people use to design their art. (photoshop/gimp/paintshop pro) and all tutorials on the subject on this site reflect this format as well.
Can you compare build quality of Pearl/Onyx and Fusion?
Can Pearl be easily modded with l32-01 and do you plan on making Seimitsu sticks available?
Thanks.
As far as I know, Photoshop can handle .ai files - Also, Inkscape its a free vectorial (spelling?) software that can also handle .ai files.
Thanks for the input boogityboy. Ask and you shall receive. We’ll put .PSD files up on the website soon.
Kabal, you’re 100% correct, Photoshop can open .AI files. I did some quick research and other programs like Gimp can open .PSD files but not .AI. In any case, we’re going to put both .PSD and .AI formats up for consumption soon.
Thanks everybody for the input. Keep it coming.
Hi Typhoon01, we don’t have any plans to add this functionality to the website. In addition to the paypal notification, you should be getting another notification with tracking number soon once we process the order. Thanks for the business.
Hi Shinbojan, thanks for the interest.
The Pearl and Onyx finishes are constructed using MDF wood, then spray painted with color, then finished with a spray of clear coat. This is what you would normally see in all of the custom joysticks out in the wild that go for $300+. The piano mirror finish is definitely super shiny. There are a couple links to Pearl reviews earlier in this thread you can check out.
The Ebony finishes are of ABS plastic construction, like you would see in Madcatz and Hori joysticks. These joysticks are about a half pound lighter than the MDF wood joysticks.
All of our models include the standard 80mm x 40mm hole pattern to accomodate 4 screws at the corners of the joystick. This will fit both the Sanwa JLF and Seimitsu LS-32 joysticks. We are considering Seimitsu parts in the future but haven’t put anything into production.

Thanks for the reply.
I was not that impressed with TE and I guess that Pearl is a better choice for me.
Can you give me the rough estimation about the days need for sticks to be shipped in Europe?
I would really like the option with LS-32 as I live in probably the worst country in Europe(my country is still not supported by PayPal) and there is no easy way to obtain Seimitsu parts here(I did not have much luck with neither arcadeshop and gremlinsolutions).
Shipping is usually 10-14 days total to Europe. About 4 days to get to your country via air. A few days for customs clearance, then a few days for ground delivery. This is regular days, not business days.
Hi eightarc, is there any way I can purchase the stick and pick one up in person? My job has me traveling around different parts of the SF bay, and there’s no point in paying a shipping company $20 when I am most probably driving right by. If so please let me know, thanks.
Thank you very much got the notification and tracking, I just had to pull the trigger on the ISO ps3 pearl it is so sexy and eligant keep it up, great work on refining the Q3 model. Hope there will be a 3-in-1 fusion type ISO Q3 design In the works just a suggestion.
I really like the ps3 pearl design. Nice, clean and simple. Great job!
Nice prices on buttons and sticks too.
hey eightarc will you have a booth at the Dromstruction event at Davis? if so how many arcade sticks/ button parts will be available… looking to pick up a fusion stick then because that weekend’s the only time im available. Been swamped with midterms and work lately
We can work something out. Email us at info@eightarc.com
Yes, we will have a booth at Dromstruction. We’re going to bring much merchandise as possible.
How come you guys aren’t making a wooden dual modded stick? I thought about picking up a Q3 Qanba because it was wooden just like the pearl/onyx but none of them come dual modded so I ended up making my own custom.
Hi Zeththedarkmage, it was a business decision to keep the wood joysticks either PS3/PC or XBOX360. We wanted to give players more options with the models we introduced. Even with five new models out in the market , we can’t satisfy everyone. I hope you enjoy your new custom stick.
Maybe in the future if plenty of demand and I do mean plenty eightarc would consider producing a special limited edition run of a dual modded fusion version of the ISO Q3 design in grey or yellow maybe orange and see how well they sell suggestion only. One day it will happen I hope.
Haha here you guys are trying to expand the line and I’m complaining you don’t have enough options xD Keep the up the good work though guys. A manufactured and readily available wooden arcade stick with a detachable cable stomps all over the rest of the manufactured stick market IMO and having the only dual modded out of the box stick with Sanwa parts. You guys need some more love. I have two stick already but I might have to pick up a Pearl stick when I get the extra cash just to support you guys.
Hi there,
I really want one of your joysticks. It is very good that you actually are in the american continent, since I’m from Mexico, and the US is our good ol’ neighboor. But, there is something that is very… weird? strange? uncool? unfair? I don’t know how to describe it.
150 USD for your joysticks seem to be fair. Pretty fair for your quality. No doubt about that.
I remember some time ago I ordered some stuff from the UK. It arrive at Mexico city in 2 weeks, and cost me 36 USD.
Some weeks ago, I ordered some Laptop parts from China. Although Mexico doesn’t had any agreement with China, I pay only 16% of taxes for the stuff I import, and no fines at all. The shipping cost for 1 week of waiting: 37 USD. From China.
Now, I was thisclose to order some fancy fightstick of yours, from US I like to think, and the shipping cost was 75 USD, half the price the joystick it self. That stop me. So I said: “Maybe SF is a very classy place and that cost is normal there, let’s try new york games store intead”. Bad idea, their shipping cost were 127 USD for shipping to Mexico.
All in all, shipping from the US to Mexico (neighboor countries) is very-very-very expensive. Why?
Hi megaman, thanks for the interest.
Shipping international orders is not cheap, especially when the joystick weighs around 11 pounds.
Here is my best advice for you: Organize a group order with your friends. Our international shipping caps out at $250. So if you buy 4 joysticks, shipping is $250. If you buy 10 joysticks, shipping is still only $250. If you buy 50 joysticks, shipping is again, still only $250.
