WWE Allstars

Fucker runs to the ring, around the ring, then shakes the top rope like a mad man, it’d be pretty spot on if he just kinda passed out when you use the run button.

It works though, Ultimate Botcher can do his patented “Leap head first at random wrestler” move out of it.

Seriously, why couldnt they have put two other characters in the demo? Im definitely buying this though. There’s so many characters I want to play, HHH, Miz, Steamboat, Morrison, and Eddie. But im definitely running Mr. Perfect. See you guys online next week.

Because it’s a DEMO, They want you to get a feel and see what characters you can’t play so you are all hype as fuck to drop $64 something on it.

It’s why they paired up Rey “I’m a legit wrestler but my popularity and ring appeal have been fading” Mysterio with Ultimate “I’mma fuck up my own moves and hurts wrestlers, whine about how I’m not used right but still get a fuck ton of fan appeal to this day” Warrior.

I still like Ultimate Warrior, as a kid I didn’t give a shit when he dropped a wrestler behind him and probably snapped his neck like a twig, or how his longest match was close to three minutes. All I saw was a buff dude with bicycle dangling things on his arms, cool paint job and crazy as hell.

Maining Jericho though when released, for obvious reasons.

You only need to press one button for a reversal.

wwf in your house!

at least someone can make a decent game in 2011 with a run button! :coffee:

I personally want to know why there’s a fightstick (err…“brawlstick”) and pad out for this game, when you can’t even map your buttons, and need both analog sticks for matches, and the d-pad is only used for taunts.

Making a branded stick for this game is about as retarded as king of fighters 12 was on its own merit. Whether this game is good is unknown to me now, as I was prepped to play on my stick, seeing how there is a branded stick for this game, and when I found out I couldn’t, I went back to dashboard.

Stupid.

I’m sure you can configure your keys in the final version. The whole default controls thing seems like a demo limitation.

But it still looks like you will need both analog sticks to play, which defeats the purpose of licensed sticks. Because I don’t see the merit of having to take a hand away from controls to flip the switch that controls what the stick controls.

When I think about it, this game doesn’t seem to be designed well for sticks. You use right analog stick to change grapple positions and they’ll put stick players at a disadvantage unless the final version has a stick config that addresses it.

im pretty sure there will be some of special config for the stick. the only way I can see it happening would be to map L1 and R1 to the same button or something, they went alot to hype up the sticks so it would be bad press if you could not configure properly if not then…

damn…

as far as tournaments go should it be your standard 2/3 singles 3/5 grand finals FG rules? standard area, no weapons, time limit on?, DLC’s banned (im not saying that their overpowered but it would be a real hassle because not everyone will DL them all and would cause some confusion in tournaments if a player plays that specific character and they are not available on that console

L1 and R1 won’t work as that’s button combination you use to activate your finisher. I don’t think weapons will be a concern depending on the match type. If normal match type has DQ by default then that’ll take care of weapons. I’m not up for banning DLC characters as other games don’t have a ban on DLC characters like Blazblue and MvC3.

I wish the demo had at least one character per fighting style.

I want to see the nonsense the big men and the grapplers can pull. I saw the Big Show doing fucking wallbounces in one of the trailers.

Still, even with the really lousy roster of 2 characters, I’m getting some fun out of the demo.

BTW, anybody know the command for Mysterio’s leapfrog move to the turnbuckle? I thought it was just run then weak strike + strong strike, but I’m not always getting it. Am I missing something?

look how many DLC’s there are, you think every console used for the tournament will have them all?

what if someone wants to play that mains R-truth or Big bossman but none are available

If there’s a tournament that will host the game then yes, it should have them. Other games will DLC characters manage and so will this one.

In order to do the move you need to run up to your opponent and when your really close to them you do a strong grapple and you jump off the opponent to the turnbuckle

Did you guys all read the official guide that they released for the demo?

http://thqinc.cachefly.net/wwe/AllStars_Images/WWE_AllStars_Demo_StrategyGuide.pdf

Game is DEEP. We are discussing it a lot more in the Entertaining thread in General Disc. But from the looks of the guide, Warrior is like bottom shit pre-SF4 Dan tier.

And DLCs will have to be allowed and every system should have them. You try telling people they can’t be Dusty Rhodes, Ted Dibiase or THE AYATOLLAH OF ROCK AND ROLLA.

Is the link working for anyone else? Keeps telling me the file’s damaged.

i miss those old N64 days where the wrestling games were so fun and all the characters looked like fucked up collages of pixels and strange colors.

I played the demo, but I wasn’t feeling it.
