I’ll post pic as soon as I can get some of these guys done. I’m currently cleaning out the shop in preparation for the new build and it’s a total wreck so maybe next week. But yeah I love the look of option 2 with the wood grain myself but I have to consider things like shipping coats, build time and material costs as well. I mean would anybody buy a $200.00 case??? It would have to be one sick ass case and thats what I plan to build but I gotta be realistic right, or do I ?

I think it depends on the wood. Some woods may stand out tucked under or not. Others may need the bigger profile for the grain to really pop.
Somehow, I think the smaller version could be a big seller, even with the painted sides. The metal shell gives it that VHG look which I’m sure plenty of people will go for, regardless of mdf or real wood.
Costwise, I wonder if having 3 levels of sticks could work: acrylic with mdf (has the look, durability, but not the top shelf components), Steel with mdf or regular wood (but cut down on some of the optionis), and the full monty elite with the big sides. I’m sure you will have a few that want the $200 order, but the volume seller could be the acrylic. But I suppose that all depends on up front material costs and how you have everything set up, I suppose.
I wonder if there is a tinted clear coat so you could do like a Pearl effect

Something like this? Harley Cream Pearl it’s a 2 stage so I don’t know if I could pull it off with my current gun but if somebody wants to buy the powder I’ll give it a shot. I was told that I should be able to do 2 coats from the sales rep but I haven’t been able to test it out yet. I’m still waiting for my powder to arrive I ordered it on Monday so it should be here soon.
More along the lines of regular pearl white like the Lincolns/Cadillacs.

Ok so I am about to order some more metal and I wanted to know how much interest there is in the Steel Universal model I was thinking of getting 15 cases made, 9 slim and 6 Universal. I am making the Slim case 2 1/8" tall (For Japanese and Korean\Fanta sticks) and the Universal 2 3/4" tall (For Happ sticks) I need to know if this will be enough of should I get more done?
I know most of you would like to see more pics before making a decision to buy and I am working on that but if they turned out just like the renders (or better) what case would you be most interested in slim vs Universal. I will be offering all the same button layouts Universal, Vewlix, VSHG\City and T.E. up to 8 buttons and I can even do 2 30mm on the side (counter sunk) if requested. My final design of the function panel will look like this Click me LEt me know if you have any questions I will be happy to answer them. I;m currently working on the Prototypes this weekend I should have them finished enough to show but so far they are looking really good and feel incredibly sturdy. This will be my personal favorite stick and I’m hoping yours too ;D

I’m not knowledgeable when it comes to what is good paint especially with a project like this so I’m leaving that in your hands sir. I’d be willing to provide the powder though based on recommendation as long as it’s not up there in price. ^-^;
Looks like a good render for a metal cases man. People will probably lean on the slim ones though. I’m still leaning towards the wooden case like Kyle’s stick just because I like the rounded edges more. Don’t want a “boxed” looking stick unless it turns out real nice. ^^

The wooden cases I’ll be using Lacquer, Power is just for the Steel case. If you want a painted White Poplar case painted they go for 100.00 plus shipping I’m down to only one blank case right now and I could sell it as is for $60.oo +shipping if you’re looking to save some money.

Are the new designs going to have the same plexi/wood bottom options as your first sticks? Also, is there any likely hood of the powder coat coming off from prolonged use or stuff hitting it? I’m afraid that over time there might be rust build up if there are any exposed spots.

^^ Um yes you will have all the same options as before and don’t worry about the powder coat it’s the toughest paint out there.

I want the same color as the “cue16’s” stick if it’s gonna be laquered then. It says black though is that really the color since it looks like a dark blue/purple. I’ll definitely pay the 100 for that.
