I’m willing to undercut myself on these for the time being as I perfect the process (although I did do a bang-up job on the first shot :]) and in order to build interest.
I can do the case alone for 48 shipped in the color of your choice, provided you can ship me an empty case. It’s actually really cheap to ship an empty shell if you make a box that it fits in snug when wrapped with a couple layers of bubble wrap and with an extra cardboard pad on top. I can do a more complicated palette/pattern/design work for a bit more. I’m working on making up some custom Naomi decals to make a proper Naomi-themed 'Cast.
The particular one in the picture I will let go for 36 shipped/make offer. It has very a very slight cosmetic issue which I can photograph in regular lighting-- tiny chink in the armor on the front right seam.
EDIT: If you have a particular color or scheme in mind, I’m about to start my second one-- I was planning on doing one up in the red/white Famicom scheme, but I’m open to suggestions.

I got my gate in the mail today as well. When I first put it in, I was a little disappointed at just how far the throw was. (It’s really far.) But then I played some Marvel with it. It’s so smooth! Cable is the only character in that game that I can play competently, and I could AHVB x3 all day with this thing. I haven’t put it through it’s paces yet, but I’m pretty sure my Octo gate will not be used again. I just wish I had known that before I bought it last week.
Glad to hear you liked it. As far as the long throw distance, I’m using the octogates as my base for this, so I can’t make them any smaller than those. I used the 8 points of the octo for the radius of my circle so it is right on par with that in terms of throw-- its just that now the flat sections have been rounded out to that distance as well. Hope that makes sense :]

I’m excited to get mine and check it out. A few of my friends who grew up on happs and aren’t terribly thrilled with the square gates in their TE’s, may end up placing some orders after they try it out. That is to say I may end up placing orders for them.
