Awesome man! Thanks a ton and excellent work

awesome job man…I’ve been trying to get ahold of you but I haven’t been replied:sad:

Either I will try to oder my stick via e-mail Finkle and hope he doesn’t miss it or I wait patiently for…months or something.

No matter what amount, I say ā€œNot enoughā€.

Wow…just wow.

Fucking brilliant man, thanks so much, I can’t wait to play on it.

You never cease to amaze me!

Oh wow. That is amazing-- I love the MOTW emblem.

Finkle: e-mail resent. =)

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend, finkle. Just out of curiousity, did you get a lot of work done on the sticks or was it a lot of family/friend/relationship stuff?

Hello Shoryuken forum folks. This is, well, my very first post here :-).

I am looking for some info and perhaps advice about finkle’s sticks (Noel: you are welcome to reply of course, but I thought I would tap the collective experience of your apparently many customers as well).

It seems like there are a lot of choices to make, and I would like some info on some of them:

– Stick & buttons. Easy here, I think. I know what I want, and it looks like Noel offers that: all Sanwa, 6 action buttons, one Start, one Select, S&S on the side or maybe back of the stick. Correct so far?

– Position of buttons: OK, I see some sticks have a ā€œcurveā€ in the button layout, some are straight. I would prefer the curve, and here too, Noel seems to offer that without problem.

– Casing: I see many different ones here. Slightly different sizes, slightly different shapes. In the absence of an official ā€œcatalogā€, how do I know what to ask?

– Artwork: Well, I have no idea here. Is it pre-decided by Noel? Do people send in artwork to be reproduced on the stick? How does this work exactly? Is it kosher to ask for the same artwork as a stick that’s already been made, or is that bad form?

I hope I’m not pestering too much. I did email Noel a couple weeks ago, but he’s obviously very very busy, and I figure whatever I can ask in the forums might make his life easier.

Thanks!

Casing - the standard shapes Noel offers are straight, angled, or curved.

Artwork - You can either request artwork from Noel, make it yourself, or go in the Image Mishmash forum and asked some of the photoshop pros there to make stick art for you. As for asking for stick art that has already been done, I don’t see why that would be too big of a deal as long as you ask the person who owns the stick first.

Is there an example on the three different types of cases? I’m not 100% sure which one is which by looking at the pictures.

Thanks for that image. I’m either going to go with angled or curved. Is one of those designs more comfortable to play on than the other two?

@ pyro_dragun: thanks for the helpful explanation, and the can’t-get-clearer-than-that illustration

how’s my stick coming along? =D

i want to know the same!

What does the art size need to be, on average, for one of your angled sticks? Definitely looking into one.

Oh, I had no idea you could get it straight, angled, or curved. I wonder if it’s too late now to say now…

So are these the correct types?

Straight
Angled
Curved
