Anyways…
There’s a new FREE version of Quake that’s completely browser based and online. It’s called Quake Live. Quake it one of the most competitive FPS games on PC of all time and now they pretty much made a new version online and will (from what I hear) be having online money tournies, etc.

Played it, it’s pretty much like exactly like Quake 3 Team Arena except you have new maps and a matchmaking system.
Give it a try, even though I know you guys hate PC games, lol.
David I think you played this at one of those big ass LANs I used to throw at my house, but I’m not sure.
It takes about 15 seconds to download as it’s 3.8 MB, lol, basically a free game. I think it downloads the rest while you are playing the game.
that’s too cool, i just downloaded Quake to my palm pre as well as DOOM. might have to pick that up

Good shit Ryan on Quake, I use to play that in class during high school. Also one of the Tech Gaming League officers, Daniel who is pretty good, actually told me about it before but if I remember it correctly, the best players don’t play on it. Still, it is pretty cool seeing how it is free and shit. PC fps games are too hard for me and MW2 on PS3 doesn’t help much. Might give it a shot to check out.
I think it is safe to say we will all get/buy SSFIV, don’t know how serious people will get into though.
Bah, I should’ve played Daniel in Quake. Oh wait, is he still in Lubbock? =D. He was probably playing Quake 4 though which my comp couldn’t handle at the time. As far as the best players not playing it, Quake 3 Arena, or actually Quake 3 Arena with CPMA / OSP mod is the “golden game” in the Quake series. Like Tekken’s is Tekken Tag, Smash is Melee, etc. Stermy is on Quake Live (if you know him) he’s a big name player from Italy who beat Fata1ty at WSVG. It’s just so easy to play when it’s in your browser, but if you care about playing the best players in the world, just get on irc on quakenet. I actually played vo0 on there, and got raped 15-0.
Oh and Quake Live tries it’s best to put you against players your own skill level or a little more challenging, and it’s done a pretty good job of that so far. So you don’t have to worry too much about super skill gaps until later on.

We play card games. Also, David, the chunin in SA is on March 20th, try to get off for that day. I just called the store owner and she KNOWS A CRAPLOAD ABOUT IT, its legit, their playgroup out there is 15-20 people EVERY friday!! O_O and she said last year their chunins had over 40 players! we need to go to it!! AHHH
