mmds is a dc to ps2 meaning a dc controller being able to played on a ps2.

but hes looking for a ps2 controller being able to be played on a dreamcast, correct?

Actually, MMDS labeled it wrong. That converter lets you use PSX/PS2 controllers on a DC. Just look at the picture of the item. PSX/PS2 In, DC out
