WTB: NYC Modding Services for an old MAS + Happ P360

Hey guys,

Not sure if I should have started a new thread for this, but I’m looking to buy modding services for an old MAS that I have so I can play with it on a PS4. It’s HAPP buttons and an old Happ P360 (so it needs the USB power run). The buttons and stick were soldered by me previously, which might make it a PITA to use QD’s. Let me know the price and I’m happy to drop it off anywhere in the Queens, Brooklyn or NYC area.

The Happ P360 is very dear to me (I’ve had it for almost 20 years), so looking for someone to give it some love and care

Thanks!

Ben

I don’t know any modders in the NY Area, but you might want to search SRK and see if any modders in the Tech Talk [thread](Need a Modder/Builder in Your Area? Check This Post or the Trading Outlet [thread](Need a Modder in Your Area? Check This Post are going the Defend the North event in New York that’s coming up.

If you do do some soldering, then you might be capable of just doing this mod yourself.

Have you heard of the Brook Universal Fighting board. It’s pretty much a screw terminal solderless plug & play job, and it’ll let you use that MAS + Perfect360 you’ve got on PS3, PS4, XBox 360, & XBOne.

Here’s the wiring diagram for how you’d wire up the MAS: Brook Universal Fighting Board Thread

And here’s a not regarding where to wire the +5V for the Perfect 360: Brook Universal Fighting Board Thread

SRK members: @eczangief @sethian0 @VirtualCosmic @Pablo_the_Mex @yoooooon are also great resources for Perfect360 stuff.

And lastly if you do ever decide to let it go please let me know :prayer: I’m I big fan of these as well.

GOOD LUCK!

I 2nd Feargus on this. Modding your own stick is nowhere near as complicated as it used to be. If you’re looking to save a little money, you can get a ps360+ instead of the fight board and save yourself $50, and also make the stick capable of being played on Dreamcast, but you lose xbone functionality in trade. Also, you can just replace the microswitches in the buttons with new ones if they’re all soldered up and you don’t feel like dealing with it.

I suggest the Rollie leaf switches in any mas style stick. I threw some in a sf25 stick I did for my cousin and I love them. Just an FYI.

Thanks for the info. I’ll look into the universal board. My worry was that the brooks converters needed constant firmware updates, is that the case with the board? Although I do have the technical ability to mod my own stick (I used to padhack a long time ago, I hear it is a bit easier now), I’m just so short on time and energy that I would rather just spend the money for someone to do a cleaner / more modern job than me :).

So if there’s anyone looking to do a simple mod for me please DM me!

Hit up @networkingyuppy aka ben fong. He’s in your area.
