Serena had a habit of getting smashed after TV tapings. It’s more about general image than anything else. The fact that she was carrying a straight edge gimmick in a PG TV environment only served to make her image all the worse in the eyes of management. If you go back to a month back when Punk got on her case on TV and would demand to smell her breath, that was just after the first incident occurred.

ANOTHER NEGATIVE TNA COLUMN

For a woman who loves to throw around words like ?family? and ?loyalty,? Dixie Carter has created low morale and plenty of dysfunction at TNA via the continuing push of EV2.

Dixie?s ?family? is upset by lack of ?loyalty? to them when it comes to handing TNA over to has-beens who can?t draw.

Among the complaints:

*Tommy Dreamer having major creative input. ?Dreamer?s walking around backstage proposing ideas: ?Hey, would you do this? Would you be interested in doing that?? He?s not Paul Heyman, but Dixie seems to think he is,? said one TNA employee.

*Ex-world champ RVD being just another ?extreme? guy (and him being stupid enough to somehow think that?s good). ?Van Dam?s conceit is unreal,? said one TNA employee. ?He?s a mid-card guy.?

*Mick Foley switching bandwagons yet again.

*EV2?s ?look? (or lack thereof). When Flair cut his promo on EV2, said one TNA employee, ?He killed ?em, but he didn?t need to. Those guys just look ridiculous, especially standing in a group. They?re not stars, never were stars, and don?t look like stars. When those guys are all in the same camera shot, it looks like cable access wrestling.?

*The EV2 angle being prolonged. ?It was supposed to be a night of nostalgia. Now it?s our main program,? said one TNA employee. A rumored War Games match between EV2 and Fortune draws particular derision: ?Wait until the guys who don?t look like wrestlers beat the guys who do.?

Hostility toward EV2 is said to be promotion-wide. Morale at TNA is said to be near an all-time low.

• Hulk Hogan opens iMPACT. He brought out Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Mr. Anderson and Pope. Hogan talked about raising the bar some more. Abyss came out and said he would reveal who ?they? are at Bound For Glory and it?s not Fortune or EV 2.0. Hardy attacks Abyss.

• Stevie Richards beat Abyss when he was distracted. Abyss went to attack Stevie after the match but Brian Kendrick pulled him out.

• Madison Rayne and her masked bodyguard beat Angelina Love and Velvet Sky. The bodyguard used her biker helmet for the win. After the match she took her mask off and it was Tara.

• Segment with EV 2.0. Mick Foley was attacked backstage. Fortune comes out and cuts a promo on the Originals. Dreamer called Fortune down to the ring but nothing happened.

• In-ring segment with The Motor City Machineguns and Desmond Wolfe & Magnus. Good promo here. Magnus and Wolfe left with the Guns laid out.

• Jeff Jarrett tried again to get Samoa Joe?s help but he said no.

• Sting beat Jeff Jarrett with some help from Kevin Nash. They attacked Jarrett after the match. Hulk Hogan came out but Samoa Joe ran down and beat up Sting and Nash.

• Fortune beat EV 2.0 in an eight-man elimination match. It was AJ Styles, Beer Money and Kaz vs. Rhino, Sabu, Brian Kendrick and Tommy Dreamer. The match was all over the place. Abyss came down to fight Rhino which got Rhino eliminated. The end came when Matt Morgan and ric Flair came out to distract. AJ pinned Dreamer to win.

• Mr. Anderson and Pope beat Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle. Anderson hit his finisher but Pope stole the pin. After the match, Angle and Hardy fought while Pope and Anderson brawled to setup their matches at No Surrender.
