Wrestling Thread v.4 - WELCOME BACK AMERICAN DRAGON!

Daffney is probably my favorite knock out now because of that shining wizard. That and she is a hotty. She just can’t cut a promo.

Zombie Hot/Sexy Frankenstein Girl indeed. :3

I’d beat that puss wearing a red leather jacket and a jheri curled wig if you smell what The Rock is cooking.

PPG would hit that and spit on her face afterwords before being sucked back into the marvel machine.

she never could cut a promo…she just screamed at u. melina stole her gimmick. real talk.

Tripple H did have talent, and at one point in time he was skilled…but let’s face it he is overbooked. He became redundant and repetitive years ago, at this point he is just a bad growth that won’t go away. Cena was compelling intially, but he has become a PG rated ubber face with no direction. his promo’s don’t even make sense anymore, sure he has energy but his promo’s just seem more like a ramble then anything important…and let’s not get started on his wrestling. Orton is just boring, he is a unspiring wrestler and is so mudane and shallow during his promo’s…he literllay bores me to tears whenever he speaks. He is a better wrestler then cena, but his moveset is VERY limited…lack of depth with a generally generic feel make orton just plain jane. He is certainly nowhere near main event level…I wouldn’t even consider him "high mid card"bound.

Before They Were Stars

Does anybody have Summerslam on stream or torrent etc, I am super late, just moved into my new home and just got my internet back so I am just now reading about a fan possibly choking out the ref so Cena couldn’t secure the win

I like soCal val. I have googled some pics of her, and she is fine as hell.

Everybody needs to buy the Rise and Fall of WCW dvd set, if for nothing other than section 1. Them showing Jim Crockett Promotion, Mid-South, and Georgia Championship Wrestling (which I grew up watching) really lets you see what wrestling was like at it’s true peak. Only WCCW could compete with the quality of stuff coming out of Georgia and those places at the time. I may or may not make up a big review of this dvd set, it’s been a while (like 2 threads ago) since I did a big one but this may be enough for me to sit my ass down long enough to do it

I need a job bad. The WCW set and the Best of Smackdown are pretty high up on the “shit I need” list.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

nice one.

Reason why I haven’t bought that dvd myself is that I know it will be incredibly biased and they are trying to recreate history.

WCW kicked WWE’s ass back then by a longshot.

It’s good to read Bischoff’s book. But let me know your review of it.

They don’t deny that at all. I’m sure there’s some revisionist history re: who came up with what and so forth, but this is something they don’t tip-toe around. If anything, buy it for the bonus matches, there’s a bunch of really good stuff there.

I need to cop the WCW in addition to the Starcade one. Too much good stuff out there.

Also, how does Stu already have 107 posts in this thread? Padding them stats I see…

WWE.com made the following announcement this evening:

Rey Mysterio suspended for 30 days
Written: August 27, 2009

In accordance with WWE’s Wellness Program, effective Wednesday, September 2, Oscar Gutierrez (Rey Mysterio) is suspended for 30 days for a violation of the company?s policy.

All burrito jokes are on the last page.

And soon enough, Ziggler as IC champ yeaaaaaaaarrrrrh

re: old stuff
Looking back at some of the older stuff I have, I kinda miss the 80’s commentary too. Monsoon and Ventura (or Heenan) were great. Gordon Solie is another great one - calling it like it’s a real sport, and the tidbits of information he did share during the course of matches were actually interesting and helpful.

My ROH DVD’s came in today. WOO :lovin:
edit: Watching Dragon Gate Challenge first. On Cabana vs. Homicide right now.

tna is so much better with no commercials.

God dammit does jeremy borash ruin everything. he ruined the odb/denaer awesomeness and he ruined the BP part, both were hot jesus those tittys.

hamada and sojo as a team??? so random, good for daffney being hot as usual. alot of those segments were funny

HAIL SABIN clap clap clap clap clap awesome

They are biased when it steps up to the time period of the Monday Night War and all but for the first section they are very quick to point out that JCP/GCW/NWA was head and shoulders above everybody in the business. They do give a lot of respect to that era which makes me happy since that is my favorite time period for wrestling. My only issue is that they barely touched upon Magnum TA. They bring up how big he was and that his career was cut way to short but they don’t really show that he was the Hogan-level guy in wrestling for a period of time.
