I Agree with you about Orton and like I said many times before he got me back into wrestling. But you’re only good as your rival and he has none he honestly. His best times was Jan all the way to WM25 but him not winning killed his steam and he’s not as good as he should be. And this constant BS with Cena is not helping…
I don’t particularly have a problem with Orton, but I honestly think this thing with Cena’s gonna hurt him in the long run especially with the way things are run. Basically it’s like he’s slithering and crawling and slow-walking…then Cena comes in and bitch-slaps Orton and the show’s over, no fight whatsoever. There was a time when after the draft RAW was tight (on paper): Kane, JBL, Triple H, Batista, Cena, I think Jericho. Then everybody that wasn’t Cena or Triple H got swept under the rug. If I were RAW I’d hope for some new script writers. Doesn’t mean I won’t be looking at the draft without interest though.
My thing is I don’t really see the point in building folks to be whatever it is they’re supposed to be if you’re going to just feed them to guys like Batista, HHH, and Cena and have the Big Three make them look like complete and utter bitches anyway - after all the B.S. I would put Undertaker and HBK in that mix but more often than not they at least make it like the other guy had a chance in the first place. It used to be to be a “strong” champion you had to have “strong” competition.
I read an article the other day that was snippits from a Cena interview and him saying WWE is finally pushing younger stars and weren’t focusing on 2-3 main guys anymore.
I let out a hardy laugh and died on the inside.
