I wonder how many parents to neglecting their kids right now while gaming. Maybe not WoW or another MMORPG but playing Facebook games.
What about gambling and/or gaming in general? It’s an addiction. That lady was obviously addicted. She needed to get help over her game addiction…
Wow was pretty fun before cataclysm
Games like WoW only remain fun if you have friends or people you know to play with. Most of my friends who still play wow know that it’s ass, but they continue to play because they have other friends to play with them, so it remains fun. You also have to take into account that there are no other actual-good mmos out as of now.
plenty of adults neglect their kids to play WoW…I do aswell, but I will at least feed them the scraps of what I’m eating.
speaking of WoW, I ordered a faction change and never used it. my account expired and now I find out I’m perma banned…great game

If this is the case then it wouldn’t be necessary to even ban them! Placing a ban on something somebody doesn’t want to do to begin with is just silly.

I seriously believe that there should be a warning label on WoW boxes that says something like “Playing this game can cause serious addiction or dependency and may cause death” or something like that. In France cigarette boxes have a big sticker on each one of them that says “Smoking Kills”
I keep on hearing stories like this and I think that we need to be more consious of what’s happening and this needs to start from other players cause it’s not going to be moms and dads that don’t understand why their son is playing the game so much.
Well you can’t put junior in a bubble, but you can keep him from spending an unreasonable amount of time on shitty games. If I ever catch a kid of mine playing WoW I’m gonna make his ass run for 3 hours.

i think you should let them do whatever they want while they’re young, and then ban them from playing mmorpg’s AFTER they’ve turned 40. that’s the point where you may need them to take care of you, and they could let YOU starve!
if they’ve been addicted to MMOs until age 40, they are in no condition to possibly take care of me. if anything, they’ll still be living in my basement. no thx.
Still have my copy of Diablo 3 preordered. Isn’t that pretty much an MMORPG now? Well, fuck if it is. One saving grace however is that every player gets their own drops now (can’t confirm, only heard this, never played the beta). That’ll save me a lot of hours wasted trying to compete against the bots and Chinese prisoners to see who can click the loot the fastest.

Especially because of a horrid piece of shit game like WoW. That game is so awful… I can’t understand how people continue to play it.
When children are too young to complain/not in school state ordered checks on their health should be compulsory.
