to whoever that Akuma player is, the Raging demon should NEVER be used for anything except as a counter for the opponents level 1 hyper. It doesn’t matter how close they are or if theyre in hard knockdown, the opponent has enough time to input ^ to START the jump animation. as long as the jump animation has started, Akuma’s level 3 will not hit. I had the same problem when starting out too.
