Would you pay $40 for a game with 12 characters and 8 stages?

Has any other game or game company done something like this? Not COD or Madden, I mean, like announce a new game making the old one obsolete only 4 months after it came out?

$40-50? You must have got a deal. I remember SNES games costing $70-80 back in the day.

Games gonna be awesome dude, thats not the point.

one should not be before the other.

You are right i didn’t mean both sides are wrong, my bad that doesn’t make any sence. What I meant was that both sides made lot of points that didn’t make a whole lot of sense. To me the thread was lacking some much needed logic.

However, to try and hate on someone because they play online more than offline. Alot of these people have realizedwhy they disagree and continue to say shit like you come off like a battered wife (seriously bro i want to be as badass as you one day…fag). Agree to disagree people.

Why not include COD or Madden into the equation? They’re video games, right?
People know that there’s going to be a new iteration every single year, so why purchase this years when you can purchase next years with an improved mode?

Also, the newest COD always get a big media blowout about 4-6 months after the last one is released. Modern Warfare 3 got it’s media shenanigans a couple months ago, so by your logic Black Ops is currently obsolete.

Left4Dead2
Blazblue CS~2
Super Street Fighter IV to AE.

I like this post. Also assume things if everything went on schedule.

Game: 60~70$
Shuma/Jill: 10$
Shadow Mode: 10~20$ (assume 10 more packs were added)
Two more characters: 10$
Two more stages at best: 10$
Costume packs for 36/38 characters not including Jill/Shuma: 30$

That’s about 150$ assuming the schedule was on point up until release, you got all DLC possible, and you didn’t get CE Day One. For about 40$ cheaper (hint hint, this is why UMvC3 is priced in such a way), you are getting a TON of stuff which includes 72~76 new costumes, 12 characters, 6 more stages, new and greater metagame, and more. Post is directed at others, not you, lol.

I don’t think I ever found a new SNES cart for under $80 until stores like Software Etc and Best Buy started opening up. Before that, you didn’t get games from specialized electronics retailers, you got them from JC Penny’s, Sears, etc.

Don’t forget the fucking king, VF5.

Hey, I’m not trying to hate. I’m just saying, OP isn’t satisfied because he’s not playing the central component of the game. The OP doesn’t seem to understand that, and continues to fling around hate for Capcom, in spite of this fact.

I’m even trying to be friendly and suggest that the OP try to play FGs offline with people.

You can’t say you hate Warcraft 2, if the only version you’ve played is the 64 version, alright, especially if the 64 version came for free with the PC version.

This is like any good or service offered by a company. *If you don’t like they’re offering vote with your wallet. If you like what they’re offering then vote with your wallet. *

… WAIT HOLY CRAP, YOU MEAN WE’RE GETTING AN UPDATED VF5 PORT? YOU BEST NOT BE JOKING.

Cool beans, I guess i got on the defensive because some of the people you have to deal with when you state your opinions. So yes i agree with what you are saying for sure haha Spread the peace :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Was an example used to illustrate how fast the game was obsolete. Of course we’re not geting RFS.

Yes I will, and you probably will too.

Capcom’s a business, they do what they can to make money. This is how they make money, this concept is shit you learn in middle school economics xD

… Why would you crush my dreams? I will never be able to play a modern Jackie Bryant, ever again. ;_;

I just have to say, your avatar is amazing.

Well, that’s why it’s the fucking king. Not only is it obsolete a scant 4 months after the NA 360 launch (2 in Japan) we will also likely NEVER see the newest versions/revisions.

Honestly UMvC3 is a fucking steal in comparison to this goddamned fiasco that is the VF series at this point.

The problem in a nutshell: the original game had so many missing things.

Bad netcode - No spectator mode - Online features that were bad (no way to know your opponents connection strenght)

These were the main things that were missing.

We get some feed back from capcom, and they tell us that some stuff CANT BE DONE (originally phrased as IMPOSSIBLE).

And then magically, we get UMVC3 with everything fixed…

Thats what this whole thing is about… some people feel cheated, because the original game (in some aspects) FEELS (and i really mean FEELS) like a demo.

A huge part of that feeling comes from the bad balance the game had…

Examples: Month 1 Sentinel - Dark Phoenix - Wolverine - Xfactor - DHC glitch

That being said… i guess we can always choose to buy or not buy the game… VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET.
