Would you mind waiting another year if Capcom could add 50+ characters?

I like those graphics, I wish SFIV was done that way.

But more to the point, I’m fine with the way the game is now, but I’d wait as well.

i dont want cel-shaded/dbz budokai/naruto looking graphics. what you linked does not look better than mvc2

in a perfect world, mvc3 would be looking this good

spiderman’s moveset was prety blatanly todd mcf influenced, considering at the time MSH cam out his spiderman run was flying off the shelves–Spider-man issue 1 sold something ridiculous like 2 million copies

it makes perfc sense hat marvel would want capcom using the most familiar and popular and successful designs at the time for their games. this wasnt random, or capcom designed.

I honestly would not mind. I don’t even have a PS3 to begin with. Once I get a PS3, then I will start begging for MvC3 to come out.

And what’s this I hear about MvC2 being “unbalanced” and “skewered”? What does it mean? Please explain to me in details.

I think it’s because when you try skewering the MvC2 GD-ROM, it’ll end up unbalanced since you can’t skewer it in the center (it’s always to the side).

well MVC2 was not the most balanced fighting game capcom has ever made but…i dont see why people are so indifferent about the look of the game…same with TVC…capcom is going with new direction with their games and personally i like the way they look. i mean sure its not for everyone. and if thats the soul reason you dont pick it up then…meh oh well miss out on it…im sure it will sell more then 2million copies in its first week…and also go down as one of the most anticipated games of 2011~

overloading the roster just increases the risk of making too many shotoclone style characters ( not necessarily shotos, but two characters that are essentially the same thing with different properties on their attacks, or very similar at the least ) and makes things harder to balance… and 30 characters is a pretty damn big roster if this is going to be a srsbsns fighting game.

I personally would not wait. I like what I am seeing from MvsC3 atm.

MVC2 looks cartoony not realistic… mvc3 currently looks more like tekken or VF, and i’m not liking the look of the latest high res pics.

the more cell shaded the characters are the less blocky they look.

They’re obviously going for a CG painted style similar to some of the covers done by Bryan Hitch. Really shiny with alot of contrast.

NOOO!

i want it ASAP.

there’s going to be an update soon after realese anyway.

is it me or does Hulk look like a plastic toy that can only move its arms up and down?.. and look how odd wolverine looks in that second picture.

If you want the 3d equivalent of Bryan Hitch’s style, just cell shade and add a visible deep black outline on all character models. Voila!!!

When I look at this game I think of the title Marvel VS Capcom, But the VS says everything to me Yeah Its cool for them to fit every character in before release. But this is 10 years in the making here right now Graphically it beats MVC2 hands down will the game play beat it? I think 30 chars from each side is do able, But to release the game with 30 or maybe a little more is unacceptable why it is? do to the fact that this is a VS game its their world vs ours. People cry out for balance, it is still gonna be 5 to 15 popular chars in use at all times. I’d be willing to wait extra time to make this game really epic and since it is no planned DLC then the game better have at least 60 chars for that reason alone. I’d say late summer the game should come out.

I would like to see 45, expect to see 30, but think there is conceptual potential for 60 if they waited or made a Super MvC3 sequel. if they did get up to 60 then i would expect neo-WarMachine, neo-Bonerine [Draken], and extra shotos :bluu:

top tier chars has always been a case with any fighting game, Im saying 60 for the fact that its no DLC right now for the game and for the fact that its a part3 so it has to be better than part 2 and since its a VS game it has to be large. Im sure that capcom has 30 chars they can choose from and 30 chars Marvel to select. Thats ******** if you say they cant capcom is not limited to Street fighter only chars. I don’t think I need to run down the franchise list. Now if DLC is gonna be a go for this game them im ok with the 30 at start but to only have 30 and no DLC that’s a 10 year let down period thats why im willing to wait the extra time needed for the game.

On a side note no matter how balanced the game is gonna be the people with the easiest learning curve are the top tier. Its been like that in all fighting games, like in super Street fighter 4, only 4 of the new people are really used and im being generous on that statement.

So you’re saying Magneto, Sentinel and Storm are easier to learn than Rogue, Cammy, Cyclops, etc? Really?

On top of that, half the new characters in Super aren’t being used due to learning curve, in fact, Ibuki probably has one of the bigger learning curves and she’s the most played out of all of them and she’s the best out of all the new characters. Half of them aren’t being used because they completely suck.

We’re not stupid, we KNOW there will be a top tier to this game as with any fighting game. What matters is how COMPRESSED those tiers are. In other words, is every character viable in their own way? For example, Sean in 3S wouldn’t even TOUCH Chun or Yun in that game. In SF4, Dan actually had a chance to beat Sagat, a slim one, but good rushdown pressure makes it somewhat possible. In MvC2, most of the low tier couldn’t hang with the top tier, and with 50+ characters, that was bound to happen. It’s a lot easier to compress tiers when there are less characters to manage.

Don’t get me wrong, every character doesn’t have to be completely tourney viable (though it would be nice, but it’s a 3v3 game, always possible), but make them usable and not useless and only for novelty. 60 characters, it would never happen, PERIOD.

No i cant wait for 50+,because i wont even play 15 of them
