Would it be hard to put this stuff in a te s+

i think i need the taller shaft and bigger balltop because the balltop doesnt reach my index finger and i have big hands and would like to grab the balltop with three fingers. this is my first fight stick and ive never opened one up before. will i need to unplug the buttons to do this.

i added in the spring cause i heard that making the shaft longer will loosen the tension is the spring necessary

The 45mm balltop should install just fine its intended for Sanwa and Seimitsu joysticks.

Unless you are lighting up the balltop with a LED, you don’t need a hallow shaft.
And you don’t need to extend the length further. It will just make your throws longer.

It be the added weight, not the length you need to be worried about.

And you don’t need to touch the buttons to modify the joystick.

whats wrong with having the throws longer, i just want the ball to reach my index finger.

it effects your move execution in games, especially fighters and Shmups. It actually slow down your directional inputs.
I can see the larger balltop, but the longer shaft isn’t going to do you any favors.

Also a large balltop on a longer shaft is just going to make the joystick too top heavy and it will effect how you play.
Long shafts are intended for mounting joysticks in thicker panels.

I would try just the balltop and spring first, save your money on the shaft.
If you are still unhappy then move to the longer shaft, But I am telling you right now

I also consider Bat tops (tear shaped) joystick tops

is there a way to make the shaft longer without making the throw longer

Unless you can mold plastic or have godlike 3D printing skills (to make the restrictor gate opening smaller)…nope.

why do japanese people have such small hands.everything thats japanese seems to be just a tad too small. you got their tiny motorbikes and now tiny joysticks too. do they make any joysticks for bigger people

I dunno dude…it’s just another one of life’s cruel mysteries.

Kinda also like pondering why you’re posting irrelevant stuff to this thread.

Or maybe you just need to find a different style hand grip for your joystick.
it not necessary to eagle claw grip everything like it’s the transmission lever from a 1970’s muscle car

There more than a Dozen ways to hold a joystick, everything from the wine glass hold to the eagle claw.
There videos on the topic, go search the web and study for your self.

i tried every grip the first time i got the stick, the only one that was comfortable was putting it between my pinky and ring finger. it would be more comfortable if the ball was higher thats all. i know theres also the grip where your hands are splayed out for people with bigger hands but i dont like that grip its uncomfortable.

anyway i ordered the big ball the spring and the bat top, ill try the 45mm ball top first without the extended shaft and if i dont like it i will try the bat top.

I actually use the extended alumimum shaft since I prefer to build my own fight sticks that have a 1/2 in plywood control panel but I use it in conjunction with a 2 lbs. Spring and a 1mm oversized actuator. The oversized actuator makes up for the longer throw with the long shaft. It turned out to be a great combo since I can play at full hand movement and not ride the gate. My advice is to try out different setups and use what feels good for you. Parts are cheap anyways so have at it. But if you are going long shaft an oversized actuator is a must.
