Would it be better to wait on this game? (For a GOTY type thing with DLC on disc)

***This is not a bash/troll post/flame bait on fight game developers or anything, but an actual question.

You think they’d eventually release a GOTY type of thing for this game? (All DLC characters on disc)

I’ve waited on games like Dragon Age: Origins and Assassin’s Creed 2 because the DLC eventually got packaged in with the game (it’s cheaper and I like to be able to take the DLC with me on the go). I jumped the gun on Borderlands and now I’m paying for it as the GOTY edition is coming out with all the DLC nowish.

I’m really interested in this game. I just don’t want to make a “mistake” as I prefer for my DLC to be on disc (so I can take it with me when I go to a friend’s house or something).

If they do, they’ll package it with the arcade release of ‘BBCS2’. Which is 2-3 months from now.

So if you want to wait that long and end up just starting to learn as all the bads start wandering away to other games and you’re left with all the level 50+ people, sure.

There’s also the chance that one won’t happen at all.

Blazblue is way more of a niche title, i doubt it’s within their means to do a goty type release with this. They did an append disk for GGAC+ in Japan, but the reasons for why this is possible in Japan and perhaps not here are pretty clear.

On another note: No point making a new thread just for this, but I’ve noticed a few people shying away from learning their character/the game by defaulting to this idea that BBCS2 is going to change everything anyway. These are the same people that were secretly pleased inside when they heard that BB was going to be ‘‘easier’’ than GG (on the assumption that now they could get some wins against the GG vets who were simply too far ahead).

Don’t be that person. Letting your own insecurities about your skills in the game hold you back from even getting started, certainly won’t foster the kind of mindset that it’ll take to get good at any version of the game, nerfs/buffs aside.

I don’t think BB:CS is popular enough in America to get a GOTY edition copy. If it was advertised more I’m sure It might make a lot more in sales but seeing as a GOTY edition never touched any of the GGs or BBCT, I don’t see this happening at all or any time soon. Even if they did actually make a GOTY edition however I still don’t believe they’d give the DLC for free when the game itself would only be 20-30 bucks.

It’s only 40 bucks and if you buy the characters it’s basically buying a brand spanking new 360 game anyways so it won’t really hurt your wallet.

As for you having the convenience of taking DLC wherever you go, I’d either suggest your friends to either buy them or you can lug your console with you.

Well I’d wait anyway because of the patching at the end of this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mori Toshimichi is gonna make people pay for this too.

Concerning the DLC situation, I guess it’s a consideration you have to take because, yes it sucks butt. And no, they don’t care.

Smart post. Sums it up pretty well, just buy the game if you are interested.
