No, it hasn’t, I like Dustloop, but it was notoriously elitist at one point, it’s a reference a lot of the guys on here would get. You must admit, there was a point (and it still is the case at times) that a lot of the members are complete dickish snobs to Capcom players.

I have been on dustloop for long time enough to know that those were very rare cases, not the norm.
Sadly, is something more about the fighting game community as a whole than an isolate problem of dustloop, if anything that “elitism” as you see it was probably the natural response of the community being frowned time after time, it was a both ways problem.
Srk is like that and 10 or 20 times worse in many occasions, i still remember how any thread about a non capcom game on fgd was victim of trolls and that stating that you liked a non capcom gam more than the 3 favorite would grant you neg bomb from the prems, lol.
Every fighting game related site is like that, for example as funny as it sounds hommingcancel the site for arcana is like that with capcom and non capcom games to the point that i know people who wanted to learn arcana but after dealing with the site they simply gave up on the game, or at least that part of the community, despite them being a small group that ideally wanted to attract more people to the game

There is truth in all that but sadly I find those isolated incidents tend to be the most vocal.
To take the example of LoL and HoN, LoL is the bigger game, so statistically, you’ll attract more trolls, but because the majority is on their side they don’t get the same level of defensiveness / aggressiveness that HoN players do when someone that plays LoL criticises their game. You know, you get that whole tall poppy syndrome going on.
It’s the same with SRK and boards like Dustloop and Dream Cancel.
I actually like Dustloop a lot, I’ve been a Guilty Gear player since the PSone and I’d still lurk the boards but like many people I was disappointed with BB and I’m waiting for the next GG. The atmosphere on the boards changed a lot following the release of BlazBlue and the influx of new posters as well, Dream Cancel is experiencing the same phenomenon at the moment with KoFXIII and SRK had it in '09 with SFIV
I could name multiple, you get it on the SF boards when Marvel is brought up and vice versa. I’m not criticizing ASW players in the least, I love ASW games. I was referring to a specific point in time where if you follow the conversation back far enough, saying you liked Street Fighter was ammo for a flame war over there.
Truthfully,a lot of those people deserve the treatment they get.

/v/ is like a less retarded /b/ with video games. Plenty of funny memes that don’t get circulated to death and subsequent zombification.
/vg/ is for longer running discussions on video games, one of them being dem fightans.

Well remember, up to fairly recently SRK had all that in spades. It took the site owners all but bitchslapping people to clean it up, and you still get namechecks and seniority checks.
