Not saying I disagree, but what’s your reasoning for 99?
Definitely feel you on 2001. MI1 is horrible, M2 is unpolished and I haven’t tried regulation A.

Only if it’s not the Wii version (from your posts I can guess it isn’t though) or if the removal of the red flashes annoys you THAT much.
I’d like to know the hate for 99 too, but honestly the “backdash” annoys me a lot >_>
Also, MIRA is actually good.
I have it on PS2. Red Screen flashes don’t bother me and i’m not sure why you’re implying they would. Faulty sound is my main issue.
2003 - mi
And that’s the problem. I dunno about the Samsho collection since I don’t have it, but the other SNK collections are better on the Wii (well, the MS collection is the same in both though I think)
Reread the post again, I said their removal, not the flashes themselves.
99 is the worst hands down but, its still fun
99 and 01 are so shitty. those are the worst imo.
2003
I have a weird appreciation for 2001, for some reason.
KOF 2001 is worst KOF game in my opinion, especially cheap ass Igniz, he has an infinte juggle. KOF MI2 is broken, I still play the game.
99 was my intro to the series, so maybe its not a great point of reference, but that game was fucking clutch! It was like all the stuff i thought was lame about SF was given a shot of roids.
KOF in general has always felt like a shitty mugen game, but I never really sweated it. But, KOF after 2K3 is just stale yo , 2K3 itself was a shitty game. But, the games after 2k3 just feel lame as fuck. [Hated KOF XI and XII feels incomplete] I just play other SNK games.
I’ve gotta go with 99. I could just never get into it, despite repeated attempts. I don’t see why there’s hate for 2000, though - that was a big step forward after 99. But then they took two steps back with 2001, which really did feel like Mugen, it’s true.
Interesting to see some people say '97 - to me, that’s one of the best ever.
