Worst Fighting Game Ever

But it is boring! :frowning:

I agree with everything stated here.

easily third strike

I don’t understand people listing games they don’t personally like as the worst of all time…

CvS2? 3rd Strike? BlazBlue? Even that Jackie Chan game looks pretty damn good actually, except for the digitized graphics. Just from that video anyone can see that it’s nowhere near Rise of the Robots level, for example.

Play something like the aformentioned Rise of the Robots, or Time Killers, or Dragon Master, or Tongue of the Fatman, etc… Or let’s say anything on the Commodore 64 except Way of the Exploding Fist or International Karate (and those are pretty damn horrible by the modern standards, but they are the BEST on the system. The worst are something else). Atari 2600 also has at least Boxing and Karate which are probably atrocious even compared to even the worst C64 games.

How is a game with 45 second rounds boring? In high level VF play it’s one furious mind game after another in rapid succession with no room to breathe. yjdk.

Aside from that, the construction vehicle fighting game posted here looks REAL shitty.

A lot of the old SNES fighting games sucked. Like ClayFighter. My God did that game suck a lot of ass. The hitboxes were like retarded and everything. It just sucked.

As for newer generation fighting games, I’ma have to say that SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos is horrible. I like it and I play it but it’s still horrible.

Clayfighter did not suck…

Looking back at the game now, yes the game blew ballls but at the time it was pretty unique.

How was is unique? It was a parody game. Gameplay-wise just a lesser version of SF.

I don’t understand the hate this game gets. Why is it considered bad? Personally I would take a new SVC game over a new CvS anyday.

That’s it. I think the developers figured if they kept changing its name they could make more $$.

Exploding Fists/International Karate are still pretty fun to play. Yeah they are archaic, but they are still fun providing that is the experience you are looking for.

Oh and Exploding Fists was awesome.

I don’t know why you guys hate 3rd Strike, SF4, and Smash Bros.
Those games are fun. 3rd Strike may not have Guile or Zangief or Honda, but I think the characters in 3rd Strike was awesome. Especially Hugo. The only character I don’t like is Gill when playing him in the arcade mode.

For SF4, I don’t know why. Probably it’s because some stupid rule saying that Street Fighter should never be in 3D. Screw that rule, they made it a great game.

For Smash Bros. I think it’s because its different than the other fighting games. Instead of beating each other until someone lose all of their vatality, you knock each other off the screen until the time runs out or you lose all of your life. This game is really fun and I play that game a lot.

I know it’s your opinion, but you guys never say why you hate them.

Cause it is easy for people to say that they hate something and then offer no supporting evidence as to why they hate it.

It is one thing to not like something and say why you don’t like it. It is another to bash just because you can.

And just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean it is bad. I don’t like Halo or COD, but I know they are good games. I just don’t like FPS.

Okay then.VF aint the worst fighting game of all time. It is the worst one I played so far. And it is the least enjoyable for me. I got it in on sale and was not able to play it long because it isn’t my type of game. Sf, BB, and even Sc are my styles but not VF for me. It is awesome that you guys appreciate it, but I take what I said back about it being the worst game ever. Like most people here, I misinterperated the word ā€œworst game of all timeā€ for ā€œdislikeā€.

Can’t judge VF by just toying around with it a little. It’s one of those games where pressing buttons gets you absolutely nothing.

It’s not as deep and difficult as people sometimes try to claim but there is definitely some what of a barrier you have to get through before you can say you like or dislike the mechanics.

nah, not really about that. the game is just really, really boring.

My worst fight game would have to be Battle arena toshinden 3. Terrible child hood memory lol

oh god…some horrible memories just surfaced.

Well after you’ve played a bunch of fighting games from Capcom and SNK most of your life and then you play SVC Chaos, it’s like, ā€œWhat the hell is this shiz?!ā€ The game just looks and feels poorly developed. The Capcom characters look and feel crappy. I thought it was going to be more like Capcom vs. SNK but it’s definitely not. I kinda like it though because I think it’s interesting to see how the Capcom characters would play like in a King of Fighters game. It’s actually not that bad if you give it a chance. I don’t mind playing it but I know deep in my heart that the game truly does suck, lol. I just play it for the fun of it, to get away from Street Fighter IV (since it seems like everyone thinks it’s the only fighting game that’s available to play).

Oh my God. If I had known about that game back when I was younger and owned an N64, I would have purchased it and I would have been highly disappointed. Seriously, I wouldn’t even count Transformers: Beast Wars Transmetals as a fighting game. I’d rather play Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22 on the PSX.

Game is mad shitty, the first PS1 game I owned, I guess it was back in 96 or 97

Oh man… Street Fighter: The Movie was a horrible fighting game.

I know the movie was bad, but the game doubles it.

Thankfully that Beast Wars game was a rental-only at Blockbuster when it was first released.
