World's Best Vega

OP you fuckin suck.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish with this thread?

LOL i fuckin love Axl. I cant stop laughing whenever I read his posts.

Even look at the atrocity of SFXT he works in that system and is considered upper tier. I feel that SFIV just was not his game and the developers felt that he needed time out of the spotlight.

SFxT is my main game. Vega benefits a LOT from the removal of focus attacks. Even with only one move that goes thru fireballs (and is extremely risky), no kara throw, CH doesnt hit crouchers, overhead doesnt combo unless it hits standing, Vega’s range and ability to poke really shines in that game.

in SF4 he doesnt have a decent focus breaker to stop people going thru pokes, he doesnt have a threatening reversal to stop pressure, the majority of his links are 1 frame links, he doesnt have a blockstring, RCF has too much startup, FBA has both too much startup and too much recovery…

list goes on and on. What we got is better than nothing but the amount of work that you have to put in as Vega to get a win is almost always going to more than the opponent has to put in to beat Vega.

Honestly FA is the main problem with SFIV and that is one reason I really dislike the game. It gets rid of true footsies and I play ST and the Alpha series and I feel that pokes are the strong point in fighting games. I really feel that if the game did not have FA and instead had even alpha counter like SFXT it would be better for Vega but this is how they made SFIV and it just is not an environment for Vega.

Im sorry. but that isn’t the reason why Vega is weak in this game.

It is one of the reasons. There are many. Focus does not let Vega do what he does in many other games and that is poke without consequence.

Antiairs don’t let me do what I do in many other games and that is jump in without consequence.

:shy:

you shouldnt have to jump. I am just saying one thing that FA does is let you bypass pokes.

I leave this forum alone for two weeks and this appears? Jesus.

I’m honestly left wondering why a player would stick with a character if said player thinks that the character is awful. Is it so that you have an excuse for when you lose? Do you only pick the character because of how he looks? Have you tried looking at the things that Vega has that you enjoy and finding a character that has similar traits but doesn’t have the flaws that you see?

After commenting on how you think that the character is terrible you then go on to brag about your great accomplishments. Perhaps the character you selected helped you achieve some of these? Or when you lose it’s the character’s fault, but when you win it’s because you’re the greatest? Do I understand correctly?

You aren’t playing the game that you want, you’re playing the game that you have in front of you right now. If you can’t win with Vega perhaps you should find another character. Or I guess you could come to the conclusion that winning is less important than playing Vega is. At that point, use Vega all you want I guess.

I once had the world’s best Vega as my partner in SFxT

This mysterious master vanished as quickly as he appeared.

“Ugh, didn’t hurt!” lol XD

I stole him from you; he’s mine now!

It’s not like he doesn’t have a point. Normally SF is a game where jumping is very risky. Not so when fighting Vega in SF4. Jump away! Hold u/f if you have to. Playing like you’re retarded is how you play the matchup. It’s a problem when serious SF players, who are conditioned not jump much, give me less trouble than stupid players who jump all day. Vega is only a problem to fight if you respect him too much and don’t jump on his head all day.

Vega CAN air throw or jump back strong, but generally they require reads and if you’re trying to react to a sudden jump, Vega will get smacked on his way up to AA. And if you read wrong, grats, you wind up looking stupid because you jumped in the air to counter a jump that didn’t happen at that exact moment, and gambled the whole game away. And the risk/reward in jumping is obviously out of Vega’s favor: jump a lot, and you might get jump strong’d once or twice (and Vega has to make a good read to counter your jump), but all you need is get one successful jumpin against Vega (hit or blocked, doesn’t matter) and you basically win the round. I have seen matches where a Vega goes from full health to none, against someone he was owning until they were in red health, all because of one jumpin. Easiest character, by far, to make a comeback against, cuz all it takes is *one fucking jump that he can’t do shit about and Vega’s done. *It doesn’t matter how far you are in the lead, one jump that you didn’t read and it’s pretty much over.

And Capcom felt that his BnB combo needed a damage nerf, like he wasn’t already a character that wins very slowly and loses suddenly.

I fell in love with neutral jump fierce. I generally don’t have a problem aaing with it on reaction.

Never works for me in AE, just cross tekken. I’ll try it again I guess.

It works a good portion of the time. I actually find it works less in cross tekken than AE.
Also jb/jf MP.

Id say low damage pokes does more harm than FA. FA happy idiots can be dealt with easily.

You are looking at him, GameHova was da best.
flat line.

Oh and the best Vega in the world is Alex Kamisama =D =D =D =D!
