Could anyone give me some tips for executing charge moves, like J, Max’s head stomp? For some reason I have a horrible time doing them.
Thats because its not a charge move. Press down, then up + punch. Do not hit any diagonals when you do this.
thanks for the dragon info. maybe i could add to it in the near future… o_o
dice, alot of moves you think are charge moves, are not. and they’re strict about up being up and down being down.
Another thing here is that you must move to neutral between D and U, or B and F. Most other games don’t seem to require that.
maybe we could set up some kind of chatroom where it would be easier to find online players than a list of aim sn’s.
god i suck at this game
I have the Saturn version of WHP and never played it enough to get into all the depth of the system. Is it a pretty spot on port?
I actually have no idea about the saturn port, as i’ve never had any time with it. In videos, it looks like it might be a bit faster than WHP, but im unsure.
Maybe play with a rom a bit and see if it feels the same?
Hey just wanted to throw my hat in as an online player. I rarely use AIM though and second the idea of using irc or something similar.
Someone play wif me now~!
Good times Chibi, darn those grab setups!
Keits has a couple more tips with the Ryofu matchup:
-
dp+MK stops his air game and is difficult for him to punish due to his height and lack of DP. dp+HK is good from longer distances, of course.
-
Almost all of his good pokes are vulnerable to the high counter. Dashing low HK is the only thing to watch out for, IIRC.
And as I mentioned before, wakeup backdash kills crossups, as well as high/low games outside the corner.
Hope this helps,
Josh.
remember, its dp+mk > j.hp.
yes i know, my execution was off that night
ok
i think ryoko’s c.FP beats out max’s tackles
also when max dies he screams SHEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIT
Erick will be known as Bluto from this point on.
And Brocken is alot of damn fun to play.
im gunnin for you keits
god this game is so much more fun then anything geese is pushing
I know! WHP is the crack. Bluto, lol, thats a good one. Wanna get some games in tonight, Chibinator?
Far inferior to Bluto’s “NEKKID ASSEMBLY!” Tidal wave.
lol! You fool! He is yelling ‘Raging Hippy!’, and ‘Retardo Breath’, and of course, ‘Whale Coming-U!’
I would love trying this out online. I used to play World Heroes 2 with a buddy of mine on the SNES, and I’m currently getting used to WHP now. Only problem is I’m at college, and there’s some pretty restrictive firewall/bandwidth conditions to deal with. If you don’t think it’d be much of a problem, I’d be eager to try it out.
I think this might be old but I didntfind it in the thread (maybe didnt read well).
The jum cancel moves seem to be flexible enough to apply the jump cancel stuff that can be done on SF3 3S.
Example Yun Genei Jin super cancel from close MK, or Chun SA2 last hit jump cancel into super or special.
I recorded a clip demonstrating this with J Max and his Qk tackle jump cancelled into another tackle using the same SF3 procedure: QCF+ UF + Qk.
This allowed me to do it repeatedly against ablocked opponent (still dont know if you ucan get out of the blockstun that freakin human tank do. Please someone test it.
Also at the end of the clip I show the “jump super cancel” wich could not be performed normally.
Sadly I didnt switch off the ALL GUARD option so the dummy blockit. Still the super Juggles but whiff after the 2nd hit.
Hope this helps! Keep it up at WHP!
As long as you dont host, playing someone over p2p kaillera shouldnt be a problem.
Hanzo - Just watching that video, I can almost guarantee you will be thrown if you try that thanks to option select. Your best bet after a lk tackle is to jump up or forward and either combo j.mk or come in with j.hk, c.mk, lk tackle again. Jump canceling is great, and this neat trick may have some applications, but they will need to be airtight.
Excellent news. Add me to the list, my AIM is CorneliusAlpha.
