World Heroes Gorgeous

I press all that with my thumb…thats the thing…I can show people HOW I do this too…

I’ll be happy to show people “DG’s pad tricks for pad players!!”

Pad Warriors fo life…we are the next generation!!!

Sweet Jesus that’s a ton of matches we have there. I gotta admit, Muscle/Max was some shit to see.

This is good. we are stimulating potential players with how fun this game looks a a higher level, while giving them some ammo to compete with. nearly evey character has gotten some playtime on youtube thanks to josh and i, so people have a place to start with anyone they want to pick up.

Josh… why dont you use Muscle’s super? Is it because of the motion?

I’ve seen him use it a few times, unless you are asking why he doesn’t do it more often. Your Mudman seems pretty decent Adam. Sweet Carn tactics too lol.

VID UPDATE: Another playlist of me vs. Adam added - lots of Ryofu and Son Gokuu!

That officially makes 184 matches uploaded in the past 4 days! I feel like King Dod-Gamned Leonidas right about now…

About Muscle’s super, yes, it’s not the easiest thing to execute quickly. But you are right, I should find opportunities for it. And Luigi-Bo, that’s his EX move that you’re seeing, the super is long and ridiculous.

Speaking of which, my Muscle is even better now! Finally found the purpose of his ABC grabs, and they are quite dangerous indeed. =)

Wish me luck this weekend!

-Josh

Does seeing half of those vids make me a lame? His super can’t be longer than J Max’s, can it? Oh, good luck???

Yeah Luigi man, you gotta get the terminology down. Ill say again…

EX = Hero bar special move
Super = desperation move (50% life)
Hero Super = hero bar desperation move

Josh only uses Muscle’s EX command grab, never the super or hero super.

But that requires me to actually read. BTW, do you still have room to house people for your tourney?

Havent even started making those arrangements yet. J1n and I are both housing people seperately, so there is a lot of room. I will also ask the few other local players if they can lend room as well. Well try to take care of all of you.

That’s what’s up. I still dunno if I wanna room with you or J1n more. I wanna room with you for good games, but I wanna room with j1n for the insane amount of lulz. Oh yeah, JUST OWNIN NEEDS TO SHOW UP!!! Get him to come Adam, I know you can do it.

we need to get just ownin on this world heroes thing

that would be ALL KINDS OF AWESOME

Just Ownin is all kind of awesome, as well as ownage incarnated:rofl: I watched my glorious 15 miniutes of Just Ownin logic the other day.

link pls!

The file’s like half a gig, waaaay too big for yt. I definately would’ve spammed that shit in like every website ever by now lol. I’ll hook up with it in Feb., don’t worry. “What’s ownage divided by 0?”

NEC was awesome, def one of the best majors imo.

And I learned a ton of new stuff!

  • Ryofu’s low MP gives him frame advantage. Geese caught me off-guard with this in the tournament, and made our Ryofu mirror close because of it. He would low MP, then throw another one out, and it would beat all of my pokes. Regained my composure and won that game, but hot DAMN I am so stealing that now.

  • DeadlyRave-Neo is now interested in playing this online - he used to a little bit, but couldn’t find players. Now that he knows about this thread, expect to see him. He plays Muscle Power and already has solid basics - he works the ticks into 360 better than I do. Plus he’s just a damn cool guy in general.

  • Apparently, one of DeadlyRave’s buddies played a nasty Gokuu and did something that I feel like an idiot for not thinking of before. When he got an opportunity, he would call the bees, then hop on the nimbus cloud, and jump right above the opponent and drop the rock. Given how the bees work, I’m pretty sure that’s a fool-proof unblockable…but you might be able to backdash.

  • FINAL IMPORTANT NOTE: DeadlyRave said we should switch to Kawaks for all Neo netplay, as it has less lag than MAME and runs better in general. Kaillera client should work the same way on it IIRC, though I’m not sure about recording.

Just wondering though, which version is the standard? 1.58, or an older one?

Thank you very much,
Josh.

If we cant record, its a no go… but otherwise im open to it.

About the bees… the trick is to just charge them and take the hits quick if the gokuu player expects you to be afraid of their terrible damage. If you can, airblock them all from the front before they can cause any crossups.

Good to hear more players are hopping on the WHP train.

And finally, here are a couple bigger projects:

  • A friend of mine who knows some Japanese found THIS WEBSITE. In terms of quantity, there isn’t a ton of material, but it seems very good - has Kidd’s infinite and Fuuma’s air command grab, so I’m sure there should be some stuff we don’t know.

So, thanks to my friend, I can at least give you a basic idea of how the character profiles work:

1st box: The movelist. It goes ABC moves, then specials, then supers.

2nd box: OK, there are two subsections here. The first subsection lists projectile breakers, then autoguard moves, then guard crushes, then command normals. The second subsection is anti-air moves - top row lists close-range anti-airs, middle row has mid-range anti-airs, and the bottom row gives long-range anti-airs.

3rd box: Strategy section. These are general and rather short, but will probably be of at least some help to us, given how good this site is.

4th box: Combos. I think this might have some more infinites we don’t know about. Also, this site lists setups for Mudman’s super, but not Rasputin’s…which further convinces me of its quality.

I can decode everything in the second box, and the combos. But we would greatly appreciate it if someone could translate the “Basics” page, the comments in the movelists, the strategies, and the really moonspeak-intensive stuff in the combo sections (e.g. Mudman super setups).

So that’s the first major project! What is the second, you ask?

  1. FRAME DATA!

Yes, you can figure this stuff out in Kawaks by pausing the game and advancing frame-by-frame. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a frame counter, so you have to remember how many times you advanced. And we’ll have to see if there’s lag or whatnot.

But once we get those things sorted out, this could be HUGE for this game! Would probably need multiple heads to work on this, so let us know if you’re willing to help! =)

Many thanks,
Josh.

Nice find.

Is there a reason i’ve yet to see Ryofu’s super?

Lol Glad you liked it. I knew it was gonna turn into a pokefest and I did not want to let you in!!!

And yeah Jack has little answer for someone with high jumps and double jumps…very hard matchups for him…
