Is there an option to map HP and HK to seperate buttons on this? If not, I think I’ll stick to the saturn version.

I’m pretty sure you can do combo buttons for that. I wish I could play you guys on p2p, but I don’t know/lost my firewall password. I assume you need to open some port to get the p2p to work.

Yes you can on whg, but josh and i are actually thinking we might ban it to preserve a little bit of the games origional flavor or excexution.

Any other opinions on this? This, in tounaments, imho, should remain a four button game.

I totally agree on 4 buton for tourney play. No cheap macros lol. Speaking of 4 buttons, what’s a ood setup fot my t5? I can’t find a comfy setup for this game.

while i like the shortcuts in mira because they are default settings, i’d say for a game like this keep the default 4 button layout with no shortcuts

pt.8 of Fuumapalooza at 5:17 has the fuuma air to ground throw. If anyone can figure out how this is done, or the circumstance it needs, i will appreciate it. All i did was walljump and use air hardpunch and an unknown direction or accidental motion.

What Adam said about the HP option select is SO TRUE. If you pay attention, he just kills me over and over with that in those matches.

I’m not so sure how good it is if you don’t have a fast HP, though. Hanzo & Fuuma obviously do. Muscle Power actually has a d+HP throw, so that works great. Someone like J.Max, though, I don’t know.

And speaking of J.Max, I am the world’s biggest idiot. Completely forgot his ABC existed, and that could dramatically change some of his matchups. We need to try out him vs. Fuuma again!

I was wondering what was up with that in the vids. Looked around and thought, “Well shit, maybe ABC sucks? It’s a mystery.”

Also, cr.MK links from cr.LK. I don’t have a copy on me right now, but do you think that on oki after blocked meaty cr.MK you can throw cr.LK out as a frame trap? Then again, cr.LK may not link into far cr.MK, to which I would go for LK tackle after blocked cr.MK, then LK trap.

Another note, does the jumping HK link off of LK tackle screw up J. Max? Pretty sure it doesn’t trigger a tech and lose knockdown. Didn’t see it once the whole time (mebbe I’m crazy) and I know I saw at least one instance in which it would have ended the round.

That was literally my first time ever playing J.Max, so I appreciate the help! =)

Holy crap, you can juggle from tackle?!? I seriously never would have even thought of that.

…Yep, and it still knocks down! You can jump cancel the LK tackle (no other version), which also makes it safe even if it whiffs.

Also found out that low LK links to close HK, and it’s just as easy as low MK.

Low MK gives nice frame advantage, so you could do a number of different things on block. Low LK links don’t work from that far away, though. =/

Meaty attacks in general are kinda risky in this game - reversal throws seem to be really easy. Hurts J.Max quite a bit, since the high/low game is really his unique hook.

Josh and I play all the characters, between the two of us. Ryoko will get her time in the spotlight, but for now, we are still learning and testing the extremes of the system. Fuumapalooza only exists because I told josh that Fuuma wasnt that bad, and he disagreed. He told me to put up or shut up, so I did.

Sheeeit, didn’t think to see if HK came off of cr.LK. Jump cancelled LK tackles (blocked) into anything is also an instant overhead, but a terribly greedy and ill advised instant overhead (on hit it leaves you open for a combo).I also use air MP to move around fireballs ala Gief’s air HP (is it hp? Been awhile). It avoids the fb and hits them in the arm, probably better ways to counter fbs anyway.

I’ve been worried about reversal throws myself, feels like GG’s 0 frame start up throws during wake up. J.Max’s HP/cr.MK game gets beat mighty solid by dps as well (you got that first hand out of Keits in those vids) so I guess baiting is the best option. I got quite a bit of juice from your J.Carn vids though (he is my current secondary). Had a feeling fwd MK was really hot but I’ve been afraid to toss it around.

Keits & Josh- Good. Ya’ll represent Punky Brewster for me since I can’t do the p2p thang. I think J Max might actually be black because when he dies he goes sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttt instead of shiiiiiiiiiiiiitttt.
