Also good stuff, coming on here and setting the record straight. My point about “Miles better” is that it implies someone is off the charts compared to another person or thing. It’s like saying Barcelona are miles better than Real Madrid. They are better, but the differinces when you get to a high level of anything are often small, but hugely important and significant when you add them up imo.
I really thought Alioune would beat them, I guess Europe still have some work to do :’(

That’s what I was told from someone who was there, the Daigo v Luffy part was true at least (ok, it was 1 hour, not 2, whatever, after studying the matchup he just trashed Rose).
I was told about the lorddvd v eita stuff from the same person, that’s why I thought it to be true. No freeplay AT ALL between eita and lorddvd is hard to believe tho, I don’t see why the guy should have lied to me.

Well played Ryan and Alioune! I’m sure the Japanese were very impressed with your skill level.
I’m giving much respect to european players (in fact i’m also european) but it’s undeniable that jap players are still WAY better than us. If daigo lost to luffy it was probably due to matchup inexperience. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a GREAT achievement by luffy, but I don’t know if he’d have won using an arcade character.
Sorry for the Eita v lordDVD shit, but again, that’s what I was told from someone who was there and placed VERY high both in singles and team tournament, so i thought it to be true.
I’m happy to hear that Eita and Daigo said that Europe is on par with the States, I sorta knew this but hearing it from them just feels good.

The event was amazing, all the French players were too sick, everyone was so welcoming, the hotel team events were so hype! 
As Killivan put it “We maybe the better players, but the UK are the better partiers” :lol:
I managed to beat Eita in casuals, but I’m not sure how serious he was playing 
He said the Blanka vs Akuma matchup is in Blankas favour.
Desora trounced me, I have no idea what to do in the Gouken matchup other than slide under fireballs.
I lost money on a Starnab vs Diminion money match, but it was very close. Guile vs Fei Long is a match you don’t see too often.
Also, the Irish Balrog player fake_roogle beat Fuudo 3-0 apparently.
The UK definatly needs to work on console matchups, most of us don’t have a clue how to fight them.
